I thought for a second they actually released a piece to do this to the Savi’s workshop lightsabers I like to see Savi’s make like a curved, Cross saber, double bladed (can be smaller for cost), and pikes I’d think that would boost their profits and give Star Wars fans a nice amount of options in terms of lightsaber customization on top of the already highly customizable Savi’s workshop lightsabers plus it be cool for fans of legends and hardcore fans such as myself to go there and make these custom lightsabers

What Galaxies edge needs in the future: more lightsaber customization options, more characters, basically saying that the area has entered some type of time conflux or something, allowing heroes and villains of old and new to appear. More attractions based on the conflict of light and dark and guests have full control on how it will end or something. It gives Disney and the imagineers a lot to play with.

Actually a red Kyber Crystal is made by making a Crystal “bleed” against it’s will, making it red. And a Jedi master, Stass Allie I think had a Red Lightsaber before the clone wars. She changed it to blue because of the Sith returning.

I've only seen one metal folding connector on the market but it was for a custom sabrestaff that they make by commission. I don't know if they'd make one for a savi's sabre.

I would suggest epdm grip to wrap it , it's used for staffs and other prop use of flow artists and such . It's easy to apply and comes in a variety of colors plus it's pretty cheap .

One cool idea for a 3d printing for the pummel would be to make a "broken" piece and can add 2 or 3 small cords poking out and it could look like Cal's original lightsaber that got damaged.

To get them to align is a simple manufacture fix. Make TWO pommels instead of one that connects two sabers. The pommels will be threaded to align with each other straight. If you see the threads on Phoenician grinders (for weed) they lock and align perfect because of how they’re machined. Now for the two pommels on the end of each saber to stay connected and not unthread when clashing, add swing clamps on the outside. It also makes it easier to flick the clamp off, do a 180 twist, and now you can separate them effortlessly like in fallen order.

I think there was an etsy bay back then, it was a staff holder that had the staff hit aligned to your belt, I dont know if it will fit with Disney sabers as it was made for Ultra sabers. it used 'their' connection as an anchor point and then used to cups to hold the ends in place. think hook and loop but on a big scale.

I really hope they find a way to make the Kylo Ren crossguard blades functional and compatible with the Savi sabers, either that or they could make separate similar pieces that can somehow be illuminated by the main blade itself, because that would be extremely great and add even more customization. It doesn't have to always be jutting straight put either, there could be options made to have them point horizontally up or down, and even have pieces that only let you use one like a forked lightsaber. But of course that's just *one* example. There are still many other possibke optipns regarding just the pieces alond like making it curved, foldable double bladed lightsaber, longer pieces to connect more and form a lightsaber pike, or even to have two blades close together from one side and emitter. Imagine how much more ideas people can come up with simply from making custom overlay parts! Sure some of it will be expensive, especially if they somehow shine the light directly into more blades from one emitter, but it's totally possible and worth it, especially since Disney for whatever reason isn't selling their separate scrap metal anymore, which is rather unfortunate. But hey, I'm sure other people can come up with more and better designs anyways. Maybe they can replicate the official ones as well or even make them look better with more paint and material options, especially if you want to make a hilt lighter. Maybe even if you want to replicate the design a Legacy lightsaber without having to pay for yet another separate piece or pieces. Just get two lightsaber cores and two main blades, and you're good to go.

02:55 At least here where I live and work (Disney California) the reasons are quite simple. The state is requiring all boats that dock at Long Beach an expensive docking fee. Most manufactures of these parts are over seas and don't feel they should have to pay that much. Thus a back up of merchandise to the parks is floating out there in the seas hoping either party gives in first. In the light of all of this Disney has taken it on themselves to make sure that people shelling out $200 for the experience get the parts they need first than taking a chance that they may or may not sell the parts separately. You've got to understand, some of us haven't been to Galaxy's Edge and would rather be able to build our own light saber than buy the parts separately and to my knowledge they don't sell the cores on their own. So that leave tourist and people who can only enjoy Disneyland maybe once a year the experience only.

So, I recently bought myself a Savi's workshop lightsaber, and I love the thing.... HOWEVER, I am a huge nerd for polearms so the idea of a lightsaber pike has been something I NEEDED.... So what I'm wondering, is if I could theoretically get one of these couplers, and epoxy a PVC pipe onto the pommel connector and make myself a lightsaber pike attachment? Or is there better options to get what I want?

If they do this, prices might vary. Curved hilt like Dooku or Ventress would be very interesting to build. However, Inquisitor Sabers are virtually impossible, as they need a consistent and inexpensive light source while also having complete 360 motion. The final design would be too big to effectively hold
