Is it worth building a lightsaber at Disney World to duel with in 2024?

If you want a lightsaber for dueling, a third party base-lit lightsaber is better. They're cheaper, lighter, ergonomic, and can be used for heavy dueling.

I just repaired 2 of these, the clear plastic tubes cracked and I replaced them with much thicker ultrasaber utraedge blades and it really made an improvement.

Fun experience, check, they look appealing, check, you can actually change the kyber crystals, honestly the fact you can legit duel with them albeit not the most comfortable experience but still working well after 4 years is just a bonus for me, so I am definitely reserving a savi’s workshop experience on my upcoming trip to Disneyland by the end of September

We JUST went to Savi's and built three of the new ones... I have to say, the build is much more tight and solid... They are not something I'm scared to light duel with...

I never been to galaxys edge (I'm from germany) but I got a few legacy lightsaber thank some scavengers. They are awesome.

Actually made mine today, my son pulled a red crystal from the antiquities shop and it was a black one that’s quite rare…love love love the entire experience end to end, don’t care about the cost, it was a memory I’ll have with my son forever. The construction is reasonably tight but the blade itself is a little wobbly on both our sabers so assuming it should have some play in it???? It’s because of this that I’ll probably just put it on display

I just spent 688 bucks on a double blade, stand, and two hip clips. I came here in search of someone else building 2 and connecting them. I’m looking because I got the old republic style for both but the middle piece doesn’t exactly match the gold and sliver style. It still looks dope but the middle is just more traditional Jedi looking.

Why not get a third party saber instead? You won't have that fat bulky hilt and you'll be able to get something much nicer and more durable for a fraction of the cost...

@@jaketheripper7385 the saber is kinda a status in my friend group, we all have sabers atp. I was the last guy so I figured I’d get something crazy so I just broke open the bank a lil bit. It’s my only saber tho, I’m not much of a collector I just wanted the one (two lol)

That’s a tough question because both things are fun, but building your own lightsaber at Savi’s is a really cool experience, so I’d have to go with that.

If I build one or buy one I’ll either buy it at the end of the day, or buy it early and take it back to my hotel, and then return to the park afterwards. I don’t like taking them on rides, but I have done it.

Great video, very informative. For the price you are paying for a Savi's Workshop lightsaber, I would rather just put it on display. If you want a Disney Parks lightsaber to duel with, I would recommend buying one of the $39 pre made ones. They are more durable and cheaper to replace.

disney sabers arent even accurate! for 250 i dond recommend buying these! For the Experience? idk.... but for 250$ you can get a much more realistic LS!

They are literally the most canon accurate lightsabers that exist BECAUSE they come from disney. Most lightsabers aren't even fully consistent shot to shot in the MOVIES. Plus all those "realistic" lightsabers have ugly chassis and talk to you in a text to speech voice. Wouldn't call that very "realistic". If you dont own a savis you don't know what you're talking about

The thing is those aren’t as fun to just buy them. When I bought my Anakin saber at the park for my birthday it was such an amazing feeling and I hold that forever with that saber. Part of the price isn’t the item itself but the experience and I think that overweights everything. I’m going again next week and 3 of my friends are getting lightsabers after seeing how happy I was with mine last year.

So...they're just plastic tubes with fancy modular handles that are extremely loose and at least $250 plus all the expense of hassle of going to disney world for another several hundred or several thousand dollars. Disney is so incredibly pathetic.
