That is correct, but in addition to being a CBS affiliate, WTVJ was still Channel 4 and would remain so for nearly 15 years. At 1am on Sunday, September 10, 1995, WTVJ (channel 4) and WCIX (channel 6) swapped channel positions. WTVJ became channel 6; WCIX changed its call letters to WFOR and became the new Channel 4. I know because I was there!
