Very impressive. Not only with the near seamless animation and clever sprite work, but with managing to create a compelling atmosphere by flipping the narration and yet still keeping in character (MOST fan made Toriel stuff I've seen always forget one of her most basic character traits: she never uses contractions) . This really would be something I'd love to see turn into an actual game (Hell, I've done enough work with Yoyo and sprites over the years that it could certainly be done fairly simply), but just with what you've done so far, I can't wait to see what else you've got cooked up next. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this! Oh, and you deserve the like and sub as well. Keep it up!

I imagine people seeing 18 left when the save point was interacted with likely confused and worried some people. Interesting how you would run out of encounters if you chose either pacifist or genocide. Neutral would likely be the only one where you could get more encounters by sparing an enemy at low HP. Though a neutral route where you are trying to get the pacifist ending would likely be the same with limited encounters.

Nice gameplay edit! Now it's easier to decompile the Undertale DEMO, and make a new game with that, than trying to work hacking the final game (due to changes in Game Maker arquitecture and some *ridiculous* mistakes being fixed) So... if anyone's willing to make a fan game of Underfell, maybe this information will be useful.

I just wanted to lay out some useful information for any team of Game Makers that wanted to make an Undertale mod, and could benefit from this information. *"Nice edited fake gameplay footage" should instantly tell the fact that I know this is actually an animation and not actual game footage.* Old pre-Game Maker Studio engine games (like Game Maker 8.1) bundled a Game Maker Language (GML) interpreter into the final game, and bundled the source-code as-is into the file. No other language did such a thing! Imagine how easy it was for anyone to recover the original *.gmk and start modifying YOUR code. It made it really easy to steal code from games. If you were an actual company, this was a serious issue. Luckily Yoyo Games fixed this in Game Maker Studio, and now code is actually *compiled* into a binary language, structures disassembled, names obfuscated. This makes GMS games incredibly hard to read for a human being, but a processor will handle this format even more easily and quickly, reducing file size and improving performance. The Undertale demo was compiled using the old, insecure method. Undertale v1.000 was compiled the new way. And UT v1.001 has a new instruction set, meaning a whole new binary code to learn! (Binary btw, is NOT A LANGUAGE. It's a numeric system. This means that computers can see the same numbers as different code based on the opcode dictionary they were designed to use. This makes hacking the final game a nightmare... I estimate the game to be easier to rebuild from a decompiled Demo than to be reverse-engineered from it's final state. The main battle code, navigation and pathfinding systems were already implemented back then, so what you'd have to do is extract the final UT's sprites, fonts and dialogue, and take advantage of the final game's Debug Mode to recreate the final game's collision maps, character movement and AI for each environment inside the Demo's source code. Make sure you learned everything you possibly could about Undertale's dialogues, AI and systems before continuing. Many easter eggs and secrets are probably still waiting to be discovered, probably somewhere in the game's audio files, or even in the OST! Maybe even hidden references to other games and franchises, or even when the game saves or deletes save data. *Again, I know this video is an animation. I just would really like an actual fangame to be made from it.*

garradoz cornelio You're right. The Earthbound Halloween hack was made from a standard copy of Earthbound. However he did that the hard way, he had no access to the original source code, like you'd get from Undertale Demo. Of course it's possible to hack, mod and edit the final version of Undertale *SO F***ING HARD* it basically *_BECOMES_* Underfell. Your computer has to read "How to Undertale" from somewhere, right? Why wouldn't you be theoretically able to scratch and rewrite that so that it instead reads "How to Under -tale- *fell*"?
