Props to Lian Li for working with the community. They did it with the O11 Evo as well, and the final result is much better than the initial prototype.

4x 480mm radiator support is absolutely insane. Not only do they all fit perfectly, but it looks clean as well. This is a water-cooling dream.

Still think a removable motherboard tray is still one of the best idea's ever thought up. I really wish the removable mobo tray was used more often. Just seems like a concept applied only a few times in 5 years. Now the concept of removing the top panel of the case is a thing now.

This indeed, but it'll probably bumb up the price too much in the most sold price categories. If your case is $10,- more expensive up too like a $100,- price categorie most marketing teams would say...nope.

It was fairly common on Lian Li cases up to a decade ago, granted they didn't remove with the rear io or pci slots so it's usefulness wasn't quite as good as this. My old PC-P80 would let you remove the motherboard tray out the right side by removing 3 small screws. This feature started disappearing around the time that cases starting coming with cutouts for the back side of motherboard cpu coolers which was one of the major selling points of having a removable tray back then.

Motherboard trays used to be removable in a lot of cases back in the day, including Lian Li's older models...they stopped doing it to save on manufacturing costs.

OK......I've been watching your builds for years, often taking your ideas and techniques and incorporating them into my client builds. Thank you for that! Through turn of events I don't do custom builds very often anymore, I do web development/app development for my side gig. But as I put together the parts list for my new big build (and I am long overdue!), I struggled to find the perfect case. I built my last one on the recommendation from your channel for the V3000, and it has been outstanding. I find myself here, once again, in awe at your quality videos finding yet again the perfect case for my build......The Lian Li V3000 Plus GGF White Edition! Just hit the buy button! I'm even using the z790 TaiChi Carrara mobo to go with the white theme. Just want to say well-done on the work with Lian Li and your continued quality videos. Not sure if you have a Patreon, but let me know if you do.....because I am in!

This is a sweet, beautiful build.. One thing keeps distracting me, the bottom side mesh seems to not be stamped/bent correctly from the factory as the holes aren't straight.. I can see it in every angle in your video.. Is that a QC issue? I really appreciate them working with you on the design. This is one of the best cases I've seen in two decades. Thank you!

I'd like to see multi GPU builds or a massive storage configuration. It looks phantastic, don't get me wrong, but at some point it becomes ridiculous to have such a monster of a case and over-the-top thermal capacity for a system that performs exactly the same as can be had in a bog standard case with one or two 360 rads.

You're supposed to space the fans away from the radiators 20-30mm with shrouds, you're probably only using slightly over half of those huge radiators' potential, the area under the fan motors and slightly out from them radially is a dead zone. Two 480's or 420's is plenty unless you have a workstation stacked with multiple GPU's. You'll be surprised at how much heat a 480 or 420 can truly shed if set up properly. On another note I have one of these cases coming but it got delayed, hurry up so I can get to work on it lol

@ericvalentine1497
@ericvalentine1497 Жыл бұрын
I wonder if you made a huge side panel with 4 200mm fans if you could just use negative pressure to pull cold air thru all the rads and out the side, since there is so much water volume. You might have to block all the cracks and crannies.
@Shini1984
@Shini1984 Жыл бұрын
This case seems interesting. Can't comment on the looks, I'm a fan of simple black box, but I believe this black box is on the edge of being too big for a simple black box. Next, 4x480mm rads, or 3x480 + 360, or simply 4x420mm is fantastic radiator area. On top of that we have lots of area to build in so it's never crammed. This is great! At least, for water cooling. However, I cannot miss some significant drawbacks. First, I do not understand 120+140mm mounts that block a noticeable portion of fan area on sides. Can I have fan mount that has holes for specific fan sizes that do not block, like, 20% of area on the sides please? Just 3 or 4 holes cut out for specific fan sizes. Or is that too much to ask for? I'd be fine with such mounts as accessories. My issue is that these mounts don't seem to exist at all. Second, this is a 30kg case. I believe it should come with wheels that can be connected instead of legs, or at the bottom of legs. Moving this thing around would be next to impossible. My third issue is related to my second issue. Building seems pretty difficult. Removable motherboard tray helps, but it seems like you're supposed to remove the tray, put in the motherboard with CPU cooler (preferably water cooler) and all the parts inside, except for GPU, then put the tray back into the case and then insert GPU. This can be done but it's not as straightforward as in some other cases. I believe it would be great to have removable top and ability to lay the case on the side, as that would make it easier to build inside. But that's just me. Number four. I did not see it anywhere in the video (did I miss it?) but it seems you can't put the PSU facing the side that doesn't have radiator. It was always flat on the bottom. This seems like a waste as just staying on the bottom means there is limited area for the side rad to move air. Half of the area behind the rad seems to be blocked by the PSU (especially a large PSU). Ideally, I'd have PSU on its side, either getting fresh air from the other side of the case, or getting air straight from the side rad (not perfect, but not a disaster since it'd always get a steady supply of warm air instead of relying strictly on its fan for colder air, I believe it would be fine as long as air isn't 50C). Five. Why does it have a glass window on the back? To show cable management skills? I don't have any. I would prefer a solid metal panel, maybe with ventilation holes so I can install a radiator in the side. As it is, I'd be scared to lay it on the side to build in it... but I wouldn't be able to do that anyways because laying carefully on the side means holding 30kg of weight freely in my hands. And I'm simply not strong enough to throw around this kind of load. Overall, this case looks very interesting, but size and weight scare me... Anyways, thanks for the detailed video!

This case is meant for serious watercooling enthusiasts, I’m just about finished with mine and it was definitely a lot of work. However I practically modded the case to what I needed it to be, I do agree with the rear glass window though, I attached a mirrored acrylic cut to size so it wouldn’t see through.
