Kitajima's playstyle is primarily defensive - much like that of Komekome. In fact, during the grand finals of a stacked Asia tournament, he won against the 4th strongest Asuka user in Asia, mostly due to his amazing defense (which is not easy to do against Case 3). From my observation, overly aggressive Chaos players tend to throw the round/game by using risky tactics that do not always work out - or "go in" on their opponent when there is no need to do so. Chaos is an "all-purpose" character, so playing either offensively or defensively works. There is a reason why Sanakan - who is Korean, but plays just like any other Asian/Japanese Chaos - will play in the AWT finals. Chaos is such a versatile character, that there is no wrong way to play this character.

Also, against Tatsuma? You better be.

Am I the only one who thinks Sol doesn't have powerful mixups and is a little predictable? It's very hard for Tatuma to land a punch, whereas for Happy Chaos it seems a lot easier.

I think Sol wins this matchup. 2S beats the shit out of Chaos’ neutral buttons and makes him really reliant on the gun in neutral, and resources he spends in neutral are resources he can’t spend on offense. Sol has an easier time defending Chaos than other characters, and defending against Sol is a nightmare for Chaos. It might technically be harder for Sol to land a hit, but despite that Chaos has a hard time actually escaping his pressure. When Sol does land a hit it either loops into his offense again or he hits you for a million billion damage, and Sol isn’t as reliant on resources for his pressure as Chaos is. On top of that, Sol’s really good at keeping people in the corner even when his pressure sequence is over.

I'm with you. Sol is quite predictable that is strike/throw character's fate. But once he gets he wants he will melt you. Thats basically what his strength from.

But tbf kidajima's defense is god like. So that's why Tatuma seem can't land a hit. I mean cause strive's throw is so strong ppl constant panic.

honestly i think it's executed in a interesting way through happy chaos, but admittedly after his reign of terror and slow fall through the tier list since then, i think arcsys is having a tough time balancing this guy

I think it’s fine, too many people are scared of it which leads to them not trying to learn how to contest it. The only times it’s mildly threatening is when Chaos gets a successful curse, but still overall not too bad. Not saying that the gun is bad btw, it’s definitely an incredibly strong tool, but too many people are stuck in season 1 or 2, and don’t learn how to play around it
