For the merc, the ethereal Kira's Guardian is great with this Guardian Angel. The Kira's Guardian provides up to +70% resist to all, and, Cannot Be Frozen.

rockstopper is a good budget variant with some DR too, its what i use, still hits that 90 all res but does lack cannot be frozen

Got one of these off a Hell Andariel run last night, of course with only 181% enhanced defense but thankfully not a huge variance in that with 200% being the max. I have so much Paladin gear I need to look into making one. I feel like a Hammerdin is calling my name in the future.

not sure if u read all your comments or not , but i'm a relatively new player (like 2 weeks or so). An 194% enchanted ethereal GA dropped for me earlier. Im legitimatly thinking of selling this to jump start my build (playing a FOH pally now , so this would probably be good for me as well in the future....) since i've saw online that this is relatively expensive , and since im probably ages away from a zod myself , which probably means it's most likely going to take a long time for me to use it..... Should i keep it and just grind ? or should i sell it ?And if i sell it , is 2 Bers too much to ask for one ?

it's a great merc armor, combined with kiras. Upgraded, and socketed it's amazing for mercs.

Strength Requirement goes up too so consider that, but for a high level merc it's fine.

I use this on my Merc with an almost perfect (one off) Rockstopper for travincal runs. Also can be pretty much invincible when i proc treachery and swap to it myself, easy peasy ubers with a conviction pally

If it's a high defense yes, 190-200% Ed is great for socketing and upgrade. Also if it's etheral and 190+ %ed then great for a Merc to upgrade and socket.

Best armor in the game bar enigma. Which is why I use it on sorc. My Sorc can have 95/95/95/90 Res with 35+ DR with maxblock. Just stack up on charms. And DF with nightwings is plenty for blizz dmg.

I think if I had a Pal's Shield (45-50%), 4 Sockets would be after your mention, Either VexVexLoJah, or VexOhmIstDol. Shield would be Ethereal, I Forgot which is Phoenix Runeword.

hello, on traderie i saw one templar coat with 3 sockets, how is it possible...cursed, non legit item ? could i have some trouble if i buy it

A white templar coat can have 3 sockets,. Guardian angel can only have 1

Guardian Angel is not working well with my vengeance paladin. My max fire/cold are only going up like +2% (up to 87%), poison is only going up +10, and max light is functioning normally (probably, but as 95 is max, I can't tell), since I've already maxed out the Resist Fire/Light/Cold. It works fine on my other characters, though.

75% is cap +10 is 85% You also have to have the res to cap it.

@@GGMentor I already had Iron Pelt upgraded and yesterday found the GA and thus was wondering if it would be better choice to upgrade that also and use it instead of Iron Pelt. I will give it a try. Thanks for feedback

well, I just tested GA in Hellforge upgrade. Although more defence of about 400 comparing to my IP Wire Flee and even 1 more skill points to my smitter pal, it honestly slowed me down so much in attack and running that I almost died in players 7 surrounded by a fanaticism and extra strong group, whereas I never had this issue with IP. Seems the reduced by (physical and magic %) component that IP offers makes it by far more effective

@@usedtobesoeasy Iron Pelt is a lighter form of armor so it offers no run penalty. Guardian angel is about elemental resistances, not physical resistances. You're comparing apples and oranges. Take that same iron pelt armor to travincal and it will let you down. Also the block chance increase that guardian angel offers is far superior to the magic/physical reductions offered by iron pelt. The issue is when you Run you ruin your block chance and defenses. See my video on running will get you killed. Every character and every build functions differently, but on a paladin there is no armor tankier than a GA. Also if you like Iron Pelt so much I would recommend the better version of that armor, Gladiators bane

@@GGMentor I understand your point, however, when I first replied to your video I asked in particular for survivability (that includes physical and elemental resistance). Truth is that I dare not run in Travincal on players 7 (yet) but you are probably right. Anyway, I have them both now in my stash and later could try as you say by walking instead of running. GB I would love to have but still havent found it. P.S. Overall, for me (I am not the expert as you), IP, GA, GB, Treachery and Chains of Honor, I believe last is overall the best for survivability

Depends on what your doing, guardian angel keeps him alive in dangerous situations. Treachery, is nice but the fade won't give him increased resistance caps. Defensively speaking guardian angel is better.

To be fair, despite the +1 paladin skills, this armor is in fact more useful to non paladins. Paladin gets 2 frame block animation thanks to holy shield already, so the 30% faster block rate is literally useless. For the class, on the other hand it can be amazingbefore you find your endgame armors like Enigma or Fortitude. Some berzerker builds for example use Whitstan's guard just for the blocking speed and the shield has literally nothing else on it.
