When I was in middle school a friend of mine gave me a random mix CD. I had no idea who was on it, or what the names of the songs were. I saved them all to my Original Xbox and had to name them all myself by listening and feeling. I named them one by one, but there was this one track that really stuck out to me. people think that this song has some kind of profound meaning but actually timo tolkki himself said that this song is about a dog. in an interview he said that he was writing songs and his dog wanted to play and he had to put the dog aside and resist the temptation to procrastinate from his work and go play with his dog, and the "black diamond" were the black eyes of the dog looking at him. thats the whole meaning of the song, of a dog that wanted to play.
