That last one would be more optimal with a 6H ender. In Dragon install, his vapor thrust has multiple hits and that first hit is weaker than a 6H.

Most of these combos with the dire Eclat into 5K didn't need the 5k and could just be linked into 6h for more damage.

You are correct that skipping the microdash 5K and just doing 6H does more damage. However the spacing is a little more limited. DE -> 6H -> VT does not work unless you are really close to your opponent. At around far slash range, the VT will whiff. However, DE -> dash 5K -> 6H -> VT will pretty much always work.
