Some people only like playing a character because they are viable, even if it means sacrificing a bit of the character's skill requirement. They're not saying that Potemkin being viable is bad. They're saying that arcsys dumbed down the character too much But you guys can debate all you want about this, I'm just gonna have fun with chipp's new move.

I swear playing a low-health character makes playing against pot feel awful this patch, like you’re expected to play near perfect as a single mistake can easily cost you the round yet pot can make plenty of risk without worry because he simply has more health. I guess it just really feels like the card are stacked against you at times.

I mean, that's the price you have to pay for having one of the best neutrals in the game. You can literally mash 5P or 5K in Pot's face and he can't do anything (thank god they nerfed 5P). Your long pokes are like 3 times faster than Pot's too.

It’s been like that since Strive came out. I’m a Millia player. Every patch this game has had, made this matchup against Potemkin worse, and worse. I can combo Potemkin 20+ hits into a super move with a wall break and he literally gains more Tension gauge than I do after that combo is over… almost a full 50% tension. And all he did was get hit. Even when I’m winning, I’m just giving Potemkin the meter and burst to steal the round… literally every round. Not the most fun experience. Imo, Potemkin is the worst balanced character in Strive. His matchups are so drastically polarizing. Currently, nearly all speed characters, setup characters, and all zoners have horrendous matchups against Potemkin.

the pot vs chipp matchup is not the same anymore. now because of armor pot buster chip cant rushdown anymore and must play like a sf6 character. anyother thing season 4 made worse alongside killing rainwater my beloved.... it was 10/10 matchup, now its 7/10 in potemkins favour
