I think this proves pretty well that A.B.A. is a steamroll character. You cant give her room to breathe or she will flatten you the moment she gets the slightest taste of momentum.

In reference to playing A.B.A, Gobou said that it's fun to play as both the worst and the best character in the game - how long that comment stands, well, time will tell... Also, I saw a lot of comments regarding A.B.A match ups, so I thought that posting what ばある (Baaru - legacy GG Bri/MI player from Asia) said about his early MU impressions during his stream might be helpful. Please keep in mind that this is before you enter Moroha/Jealousy Mode: *Very difficult: Jack-O.* *Difficult: Johnny, Sol, Ky, Millia, Chipp, May, Chaos.* *Not good (I'm assuming this is like in-between difficult and even - so a not so bad, but still bad): Bridget, Asuka.* *Need more practice: Zato, I-No, Elphelt.* *Good (as in, favorable for A.B.A): BedMan?.* I also wanted to point out that just about everyone in Gobou's chat was saying Testament vs. normal mode A.B.A looks really tough - but Testament has been bad since launch, so I guess they deserve 1 winning MU - even if it is temporarily... In conclusion, It's still pretty early to tell how these match ups will play out once people further explore the character; but I did find their take interesting, to say the least. They (Baaru) were also very good at keeping the Jealousy gauge almost full, which is really scary...

A.B.A is feast and famine. Gotta manage the bad times to make it to the good. Kaz getting wins outside of rage should scare people a bit.

A.B.A may end up being mid tier at best, but she's BY FAR the most fun i had in Strive. The struggle in normal mode, managing her gauge, and the adrenaline rush when you go into Moroha and do big damage.

Pretty much evens out. Bottom tier in normal mode, and Top tier in the other.

@@CodeTetsu it's the simple fact that the rage gauge drains too fast, so you can just stall her out a little when she enters rage and she'll be forced to fall back or risk ending up with an empty gauge wich is pretty bad for her as she has no way to refill her gauge without making contact with the opponent contrary to someone like Happy Chaos.

@@yagami999913 I feel like that’s more of a neutral problem then, which makes sense since her debuffed state has terrible movement. But like when she does have her mode activated it doesn’t matter if it runs out on a lot of characters because you’re already dead.

You have to be a master of spacing and blocking to use A.B.A effectively in her base mode. As a defensive player that appeals to me.

The music is edited in most likely, otherwise it's the mod Random Music on Rematch on GameBanana (though it requires everyone to run smell of the game which is unlikely).

@@maributalsofwoggie I don't think there's a song pack dlc, even more because the songs from older games are added into the game as their respective characters are added. It could just be a mod but that would be a bit strange since this channel usually uploads in-game replays without any mods as far as i know

A.B.A. is that sort of weird character that makes you feel like she's losing even when she's winning, as long as the opponent has 1HP, there's always a chance that she loses that round.

The opposite is also true. If A.BA has 1 pixel of life left there's always a chance she puts you in a blender and steals the match.

The better characters that are usually glue sniffers get, the less they sniff glue, elphelt is the opposite, the better you are at her the more parts of your brain disconnect from your consciousness until you can't hold your drool anymore

Honestly, given some more time, I think Aba will win this match-up. She doesn't have to worry about approaching as hard against Elphelt. Bullet shots are reactable with her command counter, and when Elphelt has to run up, she has to risk Aba getting started on Jealousy Rage mode and then Elphelt just has to hold fast or pray she gets a lucky counter hit.

as someone who's been fighting Abbas non stop with Elphet, the bigger issue they have is reach in normal mode, as long as you read the distances between you and Abba is a really easy match up

Sure it’s one button mix but it’s not a lot of damage and it has a lot of gaps/interaction points. Guess right and they don’t have 50 meter, she gets blown up and 2 tapped by damn near the whole cast. Far from broken.

ABA's stance meter can't last as long as a dang block string. I mean you activate it and if you get attacked by the time you finish blocking an average string or pressure the meter is basically depleted. It needs to be significantly longer AND THEY NEED TO DOUBLE EVERY CHARACTERS HEALTH BRO. It's ridiculous how much damage characters do and add the little health and you have a huge issue
