theyre to prevent nago from doing his mix up after fSS and also force him to use blood if he wants to keep pressure going, however you should just learn to IBFD fSS, it does the same thing but its practically free

@@trashtoast7007 IBFD stands for instant block faultless defense, where you time your block to within 2 frames of the attack hitting you so you get 0 pushback, however if you pair it with faultless defense you get massive pushback, almost as much as a deflect shield

when you clash attacks, which is what happened there, you can cancel into anything else. most people cancel into fd, which is what NBNHMR did there, while Nature did a 2k to cancel after the clash. If nothing is pressed, then the attacks would've resolved as normal.
