🔎 About socials:
If I tag socials, then this should be done for ALL players (without a single exception), and not just for one person. Socials of some players can not be found (players with default nicknames, some Asian players, etc). I am convinced that it's extremely dishonest to tag contacts of few people and not to tag all the rest, so there will be no social links in description.
But I respect the players whose matches I post. Therefore, if you are sure that videos presented "as is" are not acceptable, I will stop posting content with your participation and remove the ones posted earlier.
If you want to tag socials by yourself, feel free to post usernames in comment section (KZbin may remove links).
------------------------------
⚠️ All of the footage was captured by me directly from the in-game replay system (openly available for all players to view and share public replays) then edited in DaVinci Resolve. All footage represented on my channel is copyright free. The purpose of these videos is to provide educational high level content of Guilty Gear Strive, so the viewer can learn new combos and more!

As a player who’s never played GG before… Is it even worth it to try and get into it for fun? The character designs are so awesome and it seems fun but judging from the way the community talks in content sections… everyone is SUPER technical with ZERO chill.

I played it when it came out - put in about 50 hours in and managed to get really high rank online BUT the first 20 hours was me getting slapped around. I really enjoyed it as it isn't as technical as Tekken or some of the others but the mechanics and depth are still there. For me this game is a no brainer if you enjoy fighting games - but with Street Fighter 6 coming out next week a lot of the more casual players might migrate and you'll be left with the die hard community trying to ladder up - can't imagine that would be a nice time :D

@@kaaiooo I’ve never been into fighting games really. But the style of GG draws me in and makes me want to get into it. You’re right about the casuals leaving, though. That’s going to be tough. Definitely not trying to learn Street Fighter after all of these years.

get into it without caring about what anyone else says, if you find the game fun then have fun, thats all that matters in the end and you dont have to engage in discussions about whats broken or stuff like that if you dont want to, in the end we all find fun with fighting games in our own ways

I'm gonna be honest, you can go about your way casually but most interaction with fighting games communities are like what you just saw. The smaller the community, the more tryhardy it is too, and with time passing it becomes sweatier and sweatier. Thankfully, Strive still has an influx of new players and you can definitely learn just a bit and hop in but the thing with fighting games is that it gets frustrating when you stop learning, and you learn by being like this comment section haha. The game was even designed to appeal for new players too so they are always around. If that feels like too much for you, my suggestions are: Street Fighter 6 - one of the most popular so a lot of casuals + has an easier control and combo scheme as of SF6. Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising - a game made to be extremely simple by the same company that did Guilty Gear, it's releasing this year with improvements from the last game. There is a chance that it'll be a dead game within a year so it's better if you hop into it early Mortal Kombat I - Mortal Kombat is THE casual community, it's usually very separated from stuff like this comment section and the whole fighting game community. Smash Bros Ultimate - same as the above, but they have their own dedicated community too. it still will be full of casuals because it's a massively popular game Dragon Ball FighterZ - VERY newbie friendly and controls great on the hands of new players BUT because of it's bad netcode and no crossplay you will have limited number of more casual players to play against and will only find great matches at the peak time of your area (like, at late night, for example). Not recommended but I feel like should be included in this lit Brawhalla - a game in the style of Smash Bros Ultimate, free, very popular, full of players of all skill levels and way more simple than everything mentioned here Anyways, all of these suggestions and also Strive itself, despite the problems pointed out, are good games where you can play "for fun" without having too worry too much about technical aspects. Hopefully you find a game that you like between them!

@@user-dj9iu2et3r From an fps/lol player who only recently got into ggst because the characters seemed cool. I am loving it, it took some time to adapt but it doesn't seem that difficoult either, spent some time in the lower floors (4-6) while figuring out how to play and what to do and I just today reached floor 9 (huge winstreak from floor 6 to 9) and I'm getting my ass handed to me every couple of games, with some close ones, even tho I lose a lot it's a ton of fun if you can find a character/playstyle that you like. Also if you already play other games on pc you're probably better off using a keyboard instead of picking up a controller for the first time, learned it the hard way with gbvs which was my first fighting game and controller just felt weird, keyboard on the other hand is amazing, if you have a spare controller I recommend trying both the imputs out and then deciding on which one is more comfortable for you, but you don't need to buy anything (might not be so true if you have a 60% keyboard, since there won't be much space for 2 hands and you need at least 6 buttons for the "attack" imputs and 5 for movement "dash macro is a must" so rn I use my numpad and space a s d with w as my dash macro), just give yourself some time to adapt with both don't rush the decision. There's tons of info out there on the internet since the game isn't new so you won't need to discover everything by yourself. If you're completely new 2 sites that might help you are dustloop (framedata combos and other stuff for ggst and other fighting games) and glossary.infil.net (literally a fighting game dictionary, helped me a lot to understand what the terms used in videos/guides meant).
