He could possibly get more time added onto his sentence or be sent to Pentonville. So won't be much he can do to protect Trina without it blowing back on him.

I love how everything Esme brought up about Trina "trying to get closer" to Spencer are actually examples of him pursuing her. And her saying that he and Trina share secrets and have an "intimate" relationship brings me back to when she first showed up and said that "Spence and I tell each other everything. I think Spencer was signaling to the guard to get him the hell away from Esme, so the guard said its time for room check. If Spencer was with Trina no way he would let a room check interrupt his time with her. He would have tell the guard later. But he wanted get away from Esme because she is taxing and toxic. Notice when he left he said this could take a while. It was his way of saying don't be here when I get back
