Those who have the most trouble with this are those who made themselves believe that Spencer wanted to be near Ace in order to reunite with the Virus. It was many things: control, victory over his dad, protecting the kid from a psychopathic mom, trying to give the give stability and the childhood he romanticizes about... The more Spencer accepted his role as brother, the more the meltdowns ensued. Once Spencer gave up controlling the situation, he was then most focused on being a brother he was better able to make decisions that was in the best interest of Ace as child raised by a single mother. No one wanted E memories to return. Everyone wanted her to be a better person for Ace even though not many trusted her. E chose to chase the memories that could land her in jail. She's like a kid who plays in traffic even though she's been told the repercussions. She is not fit to parent. Her tears are hollow because it is now time for people to make decisions that protect the child in spite of her belief she is best, because her actions disprove her thought.

She had her nerve talking about how Spencer and Nikolas belong in prison, after everything she has done and I believe she loves her son but now that she knows who she truly is, she did admit if Ace's presence in court help soften the judge towards her it was a bonus. Her ace in the hole is gone, now what? Turning to Cyrus? Heather? And is Nikolas taking Ace actually kidnapping? He is the biological father and there's no formal custody arrangement between he and Esme, so could this just be called a father taking his son on an extended trip?

This has been an exceptional week so far for the younger cast on this show. Props to NAC and AP for bringing it in these scenes. And yesterday, Taby was fantastic, rubbing Esme’s face in her happiness 😂. I’ll even give some love to TempJoss and JB. I’m not the biggest fan of their story, but I think carrying heavier material as a new character and a temp is difficult and they’ve done well. This week has me so eager to see what will happen. And frankly, not knowing where this is headed has been a pleasant surprise for a change. Most of the time I feel dread when I’m unsure of where a story is headed on gh, but bc the writing and performances have been stellar, I feel more comfortable just going with the flow. ♥️

This whole week has been phenomenal thus far. All actors involved (NAC, AP, TA, AH, and the Claybros) have truly delivered. For a second, I felt bad for Esme as a mother. But then I remembered that she said she was justified in actions against Trina. For the past 3 years, she hasn’t really suffered and I know they aren’t going to keep her son away from her for too long, so this minor pain isn’t too bad. And both Trina and Spencer have needed to vent their justified anger to her.

People who think Esme has changed or that the show redeemed her by giving her a kid, always gloss over the nature of the crimes she comitted. She drugged Trina. That's a form of assault. Even though she was among friends, her inhibitions were tampered with and she was put into a position where she was unable to defend herself. If they had been anywhere else she could have been taken advantage of or wandered and found herself in a bad place. What she did is considered a class B felony in most states and carries up to 10 years in prison. What she did to Cameron and Joss is not just revenge porn. In many states, it constitutes sexual assault. Neither consented to themselves being filmed or for those images to be released publicly. Its a violation not only of their privacy but sexual exploitation. Most states consider it a class D felony and can carry up to five years in prison but that number changes based on intent and distribution. Sleeping with Nikolas. Even though there is an age difference, Nikolas was drinking at the time he slept with Esme. Esme was sober and therefore mor ein control of her actions. While the act was consensual since we don't know how long Nikolas was drinking for, it can be argued, knowing Nikolas has a history of poor decision making while drunk and Esme's manipulation of Nikolas that led to that moment, that her actions were predatory in nature. Not that the show will go down this route, but Esme stans always try to say Nikolas took advantage of Esme when in reality, the evidence shows its the other way around. Not to mention what she did to Oz, Elizabeth, Spencer, Ava. People who think Esme is the victim in this need to realize that two of her major offenses are that of a sexual nature. Very serious crimes that Ryan didn't manipulate her in to. That she did of her own free will and took pleasure in the watching the fallout of. She needs to be held responsible for them and her being a "good mother" doesn't mean she's gonna get away with getting a slap on the writst.

This! Especially with Nikolas….It also makes me question how old Esme truly is. I mean, yeah she’s in or at least was in college but….grown adults can also be in college. So it makes me wonder if Esme lied about her age because since we were introduced to her character, I don’t remember them celebrating her birthday (well actually I don’t remember this show celebrating any birthdays) but with Esme, that just alludes to her mysterious storyline. She 100% manipulated and lured Nikolas into having sex with her, yes he was drunk too but she lead him to do that. It also makes me wonder how long Esme has had contact with Ryan for before she moved to Port Charles…..I mean we know that Esme went to that boarding school to stalk out Spencer, so that means that she would’ve had to have contact with Ryan leading up to that, and when Esme visited Ryan’s grave in a past episode she said that he only raised her to be evil…..well, Esme clearly had contact with him before coming to town so it’s just a matter of when she found out that Ryan was her father, and how long she’s actually been in contact with him.

Now that's a Cassadine. She called him Spence after she broke into Windermere. In all time of her supposed amnesia she never called him Spence. Her obsession with Spencer is her undoing. If she smart and truly loved Ace she would have focused on her child and kept her distance from Spencer. But she couldn't. Now he knows she remember. I would have respect for her if she seen a lawyer and tell him or her she remembered, what are my legal options. Instead she wants to pretend she is not that person anymore. Idk why Esme sympathizers are so up in arms. They need to get this storyline rolling bc it's been dragging out for too long. NAC is leaving for a bit, who knows what AP's future with the show is, and Ace has served his purpose ....I think the writer's strike delayed things, and that's why it feels rushed, but I kind of like that they're ripping the bandaid off. If Ace is really Nikolas's son, then he deserves a chance/time with his son. The kid jumped right into his arms. Esme conspired with Ryan to get knocked up to seal her future. She didn't care much about Ace when she jumped off the balcony either. That's why I'm still skeptical about the paternity.

That’s what gets me….I question Nik being the father because Esme did say that after she fell off the parapet that first time, she was put up in some Canadian hostel by this random man. Who’s to say that that man or maybe another man got her pregnant and she lied to Nik about Ace being his just to get leverage to keep her out of jail? So technically Nik and Spencer can’t really face kidnapping charges in terms of Ace not being related to them because Esme lied to them and deceived them about Ace’s paternity.

I will admit my bias right away - Spencer is my favorite character on this show. I started watching GH a year ago over a holiday break after a friend told me to check out Spencer and Trina. They watched for them. I don't ship characters. I only continued watching because I liked Spencer's dynamic with Nik. So, I watch for what Spencer does. I do watch the whole show...I have other characters I LIKE...but none I love like Spencer. NAC and Avery killed their scenes yesterday. As far as the storyline goes...I expected it to play out this way...I expected many viewers (whether you like Esme or not) to sympathize because they have grown to like Ace. The show intentionally showed Ace so often for viewers to fall for him and later want people to sympathize with Esme. That was always the plan and they are doing a good job with it. I'm a writer myself so I watch as a writer/casual viewer. I don't know where they are going with the storyline though. What I do know is that Spencer is a gray character - and I always liked him that way. I don't want him to be anything else. I knew a year ago when I first starting watching GH, the way Spencer was written and the way they were writing Trina (I wasn't aware of Sydney's Trina at the time so I can't compare that) wasn't going to work long-term. As a writer...you could see it. The way it would have to work is for Trina to change. I expected Spencer to be Spencer ...he is a Cassadine and the show has made a good point in explaining who the Cassadines are. So, it was clear Spencer would never steer too far away from his family legacy. Spencer is still not a bad person...just a conflicted one. I think he is supposed to be similar to from what I understand - Tyler Christopher's version of Nik. Again, I wasn't around for any of that because I have only watched GH for a year...but it's clear Spencer is being tailored after that version of Nik. So, it only made sense that Trina being tied to Spencer would have some personality changes. I'm not saying she will ever be dark, she won't because then it wouldn't make sense. I think she will become a more conflicted character like what we saw from Spencer. I truly believe with everything going on...Spencer DID feel he made the best decision. That's the part some people don't understand. It's not about whether you like Spencer or not - HE believes he truly did make the best decision in this situation concerning Ace and he will justify it. I do believe he thinks he IS protecting Ace. He is conflicted because he loves Ace and he still loves his father (for all his problems). I think Trina will start doing the same thing...doing things she THINKS is the right thing ...that viewers are going to feel conflicted on. I think that's the future of her character. That's more interesting of a story if they want Spencer and Trina to be together long term (whether NAC or Taby stays in the roles or not).

Imagine watching Trina read E for filth and actually thinking Trina will side against Spencer. What show are you all watching? Let me know so I can tune in. I get paid to do this, so consider it free consultation. Trina knows Spencer better than anyone, that's not going to change because your heart breaks for E. He wouldn't let Ace go without good reason. See, instead of focusing on NFFs like Portia's hysterical psychopathy, and why Trina insists to keep Paris in her calendar despite those toxic parents ideals of "going at it alone", it be best to keep track of Trina's objections to Spencer trashing his father: 1. Hearing what you want to hear, processing what you want to process is how so many of the viewers are shocked at what is seen. Keep up, get a translator, ask your guardian to break it down for you. The gloves had to come off because E cannot activate her core toting a kid on her hip. If you cannot process anything else, understand that she must be at full tilt to get the mileage needed to wrap up this long-winded tale. Otherwise she'll sit on her memories and pretend and lie like she's doing already.

Esme is a pathological liar who is all about herself and her own self-preservation. She knows absolutely nothing about being selfless or taking responsibility for her crimes. Not too long ago after she moved out from Laura's, Esme dropped by Laura's apartment to pick up a package and she asked to speak to Trina. As part of their conversation, she told Trina that she was willing to take responsibility for all her past and present crimes, and then she pretended to apologize to Trina. Now that Esme has her memory back, does she look like she is taking responsibility for her crimes! This psychopath is not redeemable, nor does she want to be. Looking at the lesser of 2 evil, Spencer did the right thing when he gave baby Ace to Nikolas. As ill-gotten as Esme's pregnancy was because she seduced her own boyfriend's father, she did not conceive baby Ace all by herself. It took Nikolas' contribution of a "Y" chromosome in order for her to have their son (XX = girl; XY= boy). Spencer always said that he would do anything to protect his brother. True to his word, he did just that. LONG LIVE SPRINA.

@LeanneChristian-ob2pb, Spencer found out from Nicholas that Esme jumped off the parapet while pregnant, he didn't know that, nor did Laura. Nicholas had her locked up and Esme jumped and said, I went over before and survived, can do it again. Esme fans are way out there. Just because you are a mom and have been helped from all directions (many would say you are a good mom). She also was mad that Spencer didn't bring Ace to her hearing, she was going to use him to sway the judge. Spencer did the right thing for his brother.

Of all folks, Spencer knows Esme the best and he found out that this loving mother also took a chance in harming her unborn child from Nicholas, both Ace and Spencer's dad. Earlier, he caught Esme in a lie and yes, she is upset, I would be also. Spencer did what he thought was right for Ace and his safety.

Im 50/50 on this. I dont think Spencer should have gave Ace to his father after when Nik was hurt he decided to stay away on his own & takes his child he barely knows. I don’t understand your logic. If he really wanted to take Ace he would wait for Esme to come and ask permission? He’s trying to save his sons from her. All Spencer knows is that his father apologized for abandoning them and wanted to keep Ace safe from a very realistic threat. Spencer weighed the options and came to the conclusion that Ace would be safest with Nik for the time being seeing how Esme’s showing signs that her memories are back. I’d understand if you were 50/50 because a mother essentially lost her child. But being upset that he didn’t go through Esme when she stated she felt justified in the drugging, framing, assaulting, etc. is kinda strange. To each his own.

A) He was Spencer's only parent and Caregiver since birth, he then abandoned Spencer, allowing him to believe his only living parent was dead. Esme has been Ace's primary caregiver since birth, it's cruel to separate the 2 haphazardly. It is right, though, because she’s evil. She’s a sociopath. Nik has made a lot of bad decisions and done bad things, but he’s not a sociopath. Esme is literally psychotic. She didn’t do everything because of Ryan’s plan. The sex tape she thought up on her own. Sleeping with Nik and getting pregnant was all her doing. Ryan told her to stop messing with all of that and stick to the plan. She went ahead and did it anyway. That’s all on her.
