Have the GH writers lost their minds?! A storyline like this can and most likely WILL destroy all of Spencer’s relationships. He may want to protect his unborn sibling, but this is more about revenge against Nikolas. It’s going to destroy everything he cares about.

The writers really shouldn't have gone down this road, tbh. It's making everything way more complicated than it should be. The only way to clean this up is to get a paternity test and it turns out that the baby isn't even a Casssdine. A redemption arc for Nik could then be possible and allow Spencer to truly break free of his family and become his own man and explore developing and maintaining healthy relationships

I really wish Spencer had talked to Trina about this before he went to Diane because, even with them not being together yet, this decision would still affect her. And he wants Trina to be apart of his future, so even as a friend, he couldn’t ask for her opinion? He’s just seems to have tunnel vision on a lot of things regarding his anger at Esme and Nikolas, even if that anger is justified.

GH writers are wrong for making Spencer want to adopt his sibling. Diana was right. The decision to push custody is a game-changer. Spencer is doing this to basically spite his father. Also in a way proving Porsche right ,because this could change the dynamic between him and Trina...possibly . Do better writers. Fix it. Jmo

I am not worried that if this custody battle does happen I dont think it will hurt of any chance of Spencer and Trina being together she sees how much Spencer has changed and knows how much his father hurt him and knows what kind of person Esme is I see her standing by Spencer like he did for her especially when her moms secret comes about her real father

I get wanting to make sure a child doesn't go through what he did but I don't think he has really thought about what happens IF he gets custody. He will be responsible for a whole other person. I know he has the money to hire a nanny but if he wants the child to know what it means to be loved, he has to be heavily involved. But I don't think he has to gain custody to do that unless his father is out of the equation then that's a different senerio.

After revenge porn nonsense and two stints of quasi-prison and prison nonsense? And Esme’s still not paying for any of the crud she has done? Trina deserves better. Portia and Taggert are absolute right if Trina has to succumb to every one of Spencer’s, on the whim choices, it’s really not worth it. No man is worth your sanity. I understand they want to put Sprina through every drama imaginable but how many interrupted conversations, kisses, etc. can they take one fan base through?

Sprina peeps, please encourage your fellow shipmate. I'm starting to get really frustrated with the avalanche of obstacles that the writers keep piling on Sprina. We're well into year two and they've shared a hug or two. When are they going to let them have some type of happiness before now Spencer trying to get custody of the baby? Not only that, I heard rumors of this being the reason he and Trina may get married?! I'm just disappointed. Should I just be more patient?

I totally get your frustration. The pacing is slow and I agree that it’s ridiculous they haven’t shared moments like kissing. But that’s intentional. They’re getting a classic soap buildup; the only downside to that is it takes forever. I’d just encourage you to look at how great December was. A formal reconciliation and a fake dating trope. We have Trina defending her “friendship” w/Spencer to her loved ones. And Spencer using possessive language when talking about Trina…I have no clue if we’re getting a marriage of convenience trope, but it would explain Spencer’s determination to get custody of this kid. Hang in there. Sprina’s love story is definitely being told.
