For him to make that statement about being completed spoke volumes. There has always been a very reserved almost locked away emptiness that no amount of $$, or influence can buy or fill. Deep down inside, spencer has never really had a "true" connection with someone. Remember in the gallery he said the closet person to him was Chandler his driver. Y did it take a complete stranger to be his friend and not his own love ones, or his family. He finally sees how Trina is grounded, the genuine goodness that is her, he can finally make a real connection to internal feelings, being present in someone's life and appreciate her qualities.

I love how a through line of their relationship has always been art. Even today, this entire conversation felt like a metaphor for their relationship. Trina talking about viewing art from a different perspective after learning more about the history felt like a direct comparison to how her feelings about Spencer evolved over time. We don’t see her judging him in the same way over his status bc she knows him in a deeper way. And Spencer using Trina’s love of art to talk about her. Praising her capacity to find the good beneath the surface. And I know it was a shock when we found out he had a girlfriend, but I don't think Spencer was actively trying to cheat. I think Esme just ceased to exist after he saw Trina. He threw that whole party at Wyndemere for her just to impress her. He had no reason to be flirting so much with her as it wasn't a part of his and Esme's plan. He did it simply because he was immediately into Trina. When Trina is in front of him, Esme just pales - and that is why Little Miss Psycho started gunning for our girl. Esme saw Spencer has never been after her like that. He doesn't turn to her for advice. Her word is not sacred like Trina's is. Esme and Trina could have both had an argument with him and he'd be after Trina every single time in order to get her to forgive him because he cannot stand it when she's upset with him. The whole reason he stayed so long with Esme is because a) he had to work to earn back Trina's respect and trust after all his wrongdoings and b) Because he felt loyalty towards Esme for being there for him when he was lonely and abandoned by Nikolas. I'm not saying he didn't care for Esme, but I feel he didn't know what true love was until Trina. And with Trina, at least she doesn't mentally abuse him like Esme does.

When Trina was explaining the experience of the tour she got you could see how Spencer was watching her so intensely ; like he was really listening to her. He was watching how Trina really enjoys the arts and how fascinating she found everything. They must have left Port Charles on a Saturday or Sunday because the weekend was done in no time and Monday came real quick. Hopefully another adventure will come around for Spencer and Trina or they can go away for another weekend getaway. Even when Spencer was explaining how Trina was explaining the art pieces and what the persectives were from the artist point of view ; if you look at Trina it looked like she was getting emotional when Spencer was talking.

I stopped being invested in the couple after Greenland and although I enjoyed these scenes, I'm still waiting to see what happens after NYC because if they go back to what they were doing before in PC, it would be even worse than what happened after Greenland. @vjones4769 I think that Trina being pregnant with Spencer's child is definitely possible now and Portia never really thought about Trina being in love with Spencer and being pregnant with his child and things would be very different for Spencer and Trina if Portia had treated Trina like an adult but Portia doesn't. Portia is narcissistic and manipulative and immature and while Portia was a young Mom herself, Trina will know who her child's father is and I think that Spencer and Trina's child would break the Cassadine curse. I don't think that Ace is a Cassadine and Esme knows that Ace is all that she has otherwise she would be ignored by most people in Port Charles and that's also why she brings Ace up in every conversation that she has with anyone. I think that Portia and Trina's manipulative and dysfunctional relationship is being slowly broken up.
