GH 11-28-07 Emily's Funeral (1/2)

Nikolas shakily confides to Monica that he isn't sure he can handle sitting through Emily's funeral. Meanwhile, Jason slips into the chapel and listens to the service for his sister from the vestibule. As she eulogizes her best friend, Elizabeth notices Jason watching from the back of the church.

I know Elizabeth was Emily's best friend too, but I still hate how the writers disregarded Lucky and Emily's friendship (it was one of the show's best). I mean, Lucky and Emily knew each other long before Nikolas and Elizabeth came along. Lucky was always there for her and he helped her through the worst moments in her life. Up to this day, I'm still mad at how the writers didn't show much of Lucky and Emily's friendship since late 2005. Even when Emily died, he was the last to know and he wasn't even given the chance to grieve over her in the last moments unlike Nikolas, Elizabeth, and Jason were able to. They didn't even have him give a eulogy at Emily's funeral, when he was Emily's oldest/best friend.

That’s because lizard is nothing more than a needy person who always wants all the attention on herself, she proves it when she goes from man to man. I never liked lizard and towards the end I can truly understand why!!

That’s because Lucky turned into a brain, dead moron after Phone was done with him lucky the lucky we knew the boy lucky he never came back from that fire and poor Elizabeth spent the next 10 years digging around inside of that sociopath to try to find the boy that helped her, he just is not there anymore

I think this is one of most loving tribute I have ever watched, and Elizabeth was perfect to speak for her best friend.

It's quite something to watch this after watching Epiphany's tribute recently and seeing Liz lead both. The thing that strikes me most is no matter how nice Epiphany's was, there's something deeply resonating when they've actually filled a room with characters we know like they did here. It's really a shame that soap budgets have taken such a hit that they end up filling a room with meaningless extras.

When they held the service for Anna & Robert in the 90's the church was packed 3 times what they did with Emily. Lots of extras

@@Dreamlillie_95 If referring to Esme and Spencer, I believe Nikolas (TC) would never have slept with Esme, but Nikolas (MC) did, so it is hard for Nikolas (AH) to find the courage to face his son, Spencer. Nikolas (TC) was kind, noble, considerate, well-mannered, and gentlemanly, but after Emily's death, Nikolas was no longer the same. The GH writers ostracized and decimated Nikolas's character as selfish, money-hungry, and a dark Cassadine.

@@sarahswomley2580 The news of Tyler Christopher's passing is still devastating to me. I can't believe he's no longer with us. As a talented actor, Tyler had a lot of fans, myself included, who had longed for his return to GH to reprise his iconic role as Nikolas. It would have been incredible to see him and Natalia Livingston, who played Emily, grace the screen again and continue their captivating love story and unfinished plot. Sadly, that hope disappeared with Tyler's passing, leaving an immense void in the hearts of his fans and the soap opera industry. However, we will always cherish his incredible work and the memories he left behind. TC was a gem of an actor. Rest in peace, Tyler.
