I liked that Alexis admitted that Trina getting Spencer to pull back is not an easy feat especially with Cassadines who are very stubborn. That says a lot for Trina AND Spencer.

This is sick. Laura has a closer relationship with Trina’s drugger than Trina. Laura doesn’t even try to have one with Trina. She only “heard” about what Trina does for Spencer. I don’t think Tabyana’s Trina even got a scene where her and Laura really bonded together. But we got 20+ scenes of Laura treating Esme like her 4th angel child instead.

@ariajohnson4665, the only scene I recall of Laura & Trina is when they were walking, and she was holding Trina because Spencer was missing. Spencer & Trina have to hold on to each other. It makes me mad because Esme is not "Mother of the Year", she called or texted Spencer if Ace had a running nose. I think Spencer has done everything for that baby. Esme is more dangerous now than ever; she tells Ace that Spencer is spending more time with Trina than with them. She just might have to do something drastic. That is not a person who has lost their memory, she is playing everyone. I hope Esme does not hurt Spencer or Trina.

@fayskidmore2714 I don't think that Laura will have much of a relationship with Spencer after Spencer finds out that Ace isn't a Cassadine. Spencer will have too many memories of Ace at Laura's home and this situation is happening because of Laura and it doesn't help Laura's case that she doesn't make Trina feel welcome or recogize the fact that Spencer is in love with Trina not Esme.

It amazes me that the two people whom Esme told the reason she wants to move out (because she is crushing on Spencer) missed this opportunity to compare notes on that fact and haven''t told Spencer! Mind blowing. It would have been more appropriate for Laura to ask Alexis if she has seen any signs of Esme returning to her manipulative ways and probe to see if Alexis knew why Esme wanted to move in order to spite Spencer & exert control. It is unbelievable that OG characters like Laura and Alexis both have their own case of amnesia when it comes to a character who drugged Trina and Oz, manipulated Spencer, committed adultery, violated Joss/Cam just to bend over backwards to provide her with shelter, dismiss her crimes and given her a job.🙄

you know why.... BECAUSE LAURA WANTS SPENCER WITH ESME! Something just doesn't sit well when she mentions Trina and Spencer in the relationship compacity. She'd rather Spencer be with crazy girl then a strong, morally conscious, educated woman. that's what I'm getting from it and it's not just this scene. look back at when Trina is mentioned to Laura whether it's with Sonny or others.

My mind is blown by the sheer stupidity and sexism these writers have DRENCHED themselves in. They really thought giving a psychotic woman a baby just cleanses all her sins. The purifying sanctity of motherhood🥺... That's literally all it took for a sexual assaulter, attempted murderer, stalker, and crook to be wiped clean. They'd NEVER think to give Victor or Cyrus or Mikkos a brand new baby at the height of their villainy to redeem them. Hell Ace is Nikolas's son too. Why aren't they using this same baby to wipe Nikolas's slate clean? 🤔 It doesn't even cross their minds to do so. Because women are just biologically DESTINED to be mothers above all else. Once that baby is in their tummy, all other guiding forces or unsavory traits poof away in a cloud of smoke. There's also the MASSIVE stench of decay for the more than blatant racist factors here. If Esme and Ace looked like Trina. And Trina (🗣the victim) was played by someone who looked like Esme or Joss there isn't a snowball's chance in H.E.L.L. Laura, Carly, Alexis, and every other idiot would ever spend a minute coddling that psychopath. Let alone do it for over a year now.

Fell down a Sprina rabbit hole and KZbin auto played this video. I know it’s a year later, but just popping in to say that everything in this comment was true and it’s why the attempt to redeem Esme failed. The audience isn’t dumb. We see the racial disparities and the misogyny. A baby doesn’t make a woman a saint. The hatchet job they did to both Laura and Alexis in this story was severe. Neither have recovered in my eyes. In fact, both of their stories post Esme have turned them into fools. Laura’s behavior around Heather was stunningly clownish & Alexis standing ten toes down for one child over another is wild. If you told me the writer’s goals was to destroy the show by making every beloved character unlikable, I’d believe you.

Everyone including Laura and Alexis are trying very hard to force the issue that esme has changed but we all know that isn’t true. Gh writers really have to write esme the character out of gh besides hanging on to the spencer and Trina storyline she has no other point on this show.

It is so sad. If a male character (rightfully so) released a revenge porn sex tape of an ex girlfriend because he was dumped, people would be asking for blood. It would not matter if he had amnesia or a baby. The writers purposely had Esme in a kidnapped situation and pregnant to get sympathy for her character. It appears to be working. I’m almost (ALMOST) convinced.

I think that Esme and Portia's downfalls are going to be connected together and that Spencer will not want anything to do with Laura and Alexis who are propping up Esme. I won't be surprised if Esme drugs Spencer and makes it seem like she and Spencer slept together like when Sonny was drugged by Nelle. I think that this storyline will end during the February Sweeps near Portia and Curtis's wedding anniversary and Trina will find out about Portia scheming and Portia will lose everything.

I think they missed a major opportunity to compare notes and talk about Esme wanting to be with Spencer and if the other thinks that will make her revert back to her old ways since it was her jealousy over Spencer and Trina that led her to doing all those hideous things before. I also think that it was a nice touch for Alexis to give credit to Trina for helping Spencer to come to terms about Ace and it was cute that Laura laughed in appreciation at how much power Trina obviously has over her grandson. She stated that she heard that Trina was the one to help Spencer to see the light and acknowledged that Trina was a good influence over him. I liked that. I would have really preferred some more indepth conversation about Esme though.

GraceDavis-sp 1ey Maybe Alexis and Laura don't know that Esme confided in both of them about her feelings for Spencer. That's why the topic of her feelings wasn't brought up. Now if Laura and Trina were talking about Esme maybe Trina would say that she was worried that Esme may secretly liked the fact that she and Spencer were together all the time , then Laura might bring up Esme's feelings for Spencer. Then again she might not mention it because she wants to respect Esme's privacy and what was told between them.

However, it would have been good if after Laura asked Alexis how Esme was doing Alexis told her and then touched on giving her a raise not ONLY because she deserved it but also because Esme felt the need to get away from close proximity with Spencer and then Laura would be like "she told me that's the reason she wanted to leave as well", maybe that would make them want to keep a better eye on her since it was her jealousy of Trina's and Spencer's relationship that started all that mess that nearly wound Trina in prison.

Cyrus lurking in the corners when Laura and Alexis were having their lunch was creepy as hell. The way he did it too was like he wanted Laura to take pity on him, and he wanted her to see him. The look on Laura's face was like she actually felt sorry for him and thinks that maybe he's changing. They are making Laura look so naive and pretty stupid to believe anything he says , but its not just him it's Nicholas too. Nicholas had Laura and Kevin playing tag all over looking for him so he could come home and be a father to Spencer and Ace. As usual he refused to just so he can get revenge on Ava for knocking him out and leaving him to die. I wonder if when NAC leaves that they are going to write Spencer leaving town? And going to look for his father so can finally come back and get to know Ace , but perhaps by time they come back they may find out that Ace isn't a Cassadine.

I loved these scenes. Laura giving Esme and Cyrus a second chance is one of the reasons why she is my favorite character. She has forgiven many people over the years and given second chances to those who have done horrible things to her and her family. Luke is a prime example of that.
