I agree! I am grateful to whoever originally recorded these, but I really wish they would’ve liked other characters as well because we needed to see other storylines not just Luke and Laura. I think the only reason we have this one is because it re-aired on SOAPnet.

The funny thing about Scotty worrying about getting a house like Luke and Jennifer's in 1980 is....Today in 2014, Luke is a loser and Scotty is the successful one who is able to afford the finer things.

Haven't watched the newer episodes. Was Scotty on in 2014? It would make sense that Scotty would be more successful. Scotty has the advantages and the know how but Luke seems to have decided to become the criminal he struggled against.

So he has a job without Laura in Paris? She keeps being shunted away. How many soap opera characters have to get catatonia rather than living productive lives when they are off screen? Guess writers aren't allowed to think very deeply?

Scotty & Laura were briefly married in either 2013 or 2014. Then yes, she got a divorce and moved back to Paris. Poor writing, no imagination. It is all about jails and shootouts these days. I watch it for a glimpse of the vets. Denise Alexander & Leslie Charleson have had some scenes together that were totally worth me still watching to this day.

The sad thing is this is the end of Tracy's reign for now. She had to wait until Gloria Monty left before she would come back. There is an article (it you haven't already read it) where she, Kin & Tony were interviewed and she talks about why she left GH, this moment and winning the Emmy for this performance. I really wish someone would right a book about everything that went on back in that era. GM was a control freak who definitely favored the men and shIt on the great female actresses!

Jane won the Emmy for these scenes. There is an intensity of her character back then that is lost today.

It was very memorable & deserving of an Emmy! Too bad Gloria Monty didn't treat he women equally as she did the men which forced Jane to leave as well as Denise Alexander back then! No intensity is right! Nothing will ever compare to the golden years of GH, late 70's through the 90's! Budgets have been slashed and they do not put the hours in like they did back then to make the show what it once was! So sad! I come back and watch these old episodes over & over because it was just so GOOD back then!

@@GHRickLesley I was 11 when this aired. I also remember Jane going on Merv and showing this clip and her screaming how Edward was the only man she ever loved because she won the emmy and Merv being impressed.

@@admetric I was 4 months shy of my 11th birthday when this aired! I just watched this podcast and her love for David Lewis is something she still cherishes! Very interesting interview! She kept mum when asked why she left but I had read a while ago it was due to her and Gloria Monty not agreeing! Enjoy this if you haven’t already watched it!
