For as much time as Esme spends with Ace, it's hard not to notice that she still struggles to bond with him. I also think that Spencer is setting a trap for Esme because he does tell Valentin that he is afraid of losing Trina and that showed that Spencer is thinking about Trina. Spencer, Joss and Trina all know that they have one shot to get justice and they don't want Esme to be found not guilty by a sympathetic jury. I also think that Portia and Esme's downfalls will be connected together and in order for things to work out in Spencer's favor he knows that he needs to make things as believable as possible to Esme. I don't think that Spencer trusts Esme at all.

Yeah the guilt and shame she must feel over how Ace was conceived and how she's using that child. This was the "ace up her sleeve" Bonding and loving a child would be difficult. Esme had crazy parents too. So I don't expect too much "mothering" from her.

Reading your comment and it was like a slap upside my head of WOWWWWWW! U COULD BE SOOOOO RIGHT! I never stopped to think that maybe Spencer is actually just PLAYING Esme! To make her think he's on her side so that she will lower her guard enough for him to get the evidence, he needs to put her away for good. He must have realized by now that she's obsessed w/ him, right? (He can't be that naive. Could he?). So by making her believe that he's "warmed up" to her, maybe that will let her slip up & give him what he needs to take custody of Ace AND send her to jail for her crimes. & bcuz she's so smart (manipulative), then he'd have to make it seem real to every1 (she'd notice if something was off), not just her. (Maybe if Cam was around, he would probably confess the "plan" to him?) Maybe that's why he is acting this way? So out of character. Bcuz he did tell Joss at Kelly's that his 1st priority was and still is, TRINA. He also told Valentin that he wouldn't have been able to face losing Trina if Victor had used the pathogen on them. Adding to him telling Portia that Trina is the best thing that ever happened to him, that he thinks they're good 4 each other and he makes her happy. Then he stressed out, telling Trina how he felt that he kept letting her down. Then him telling her that whatever comes next, they face it together. I HAVE RENEWED HOPE THAT HE IS FULLY COMMITED TO TRINA!!!

Esme is selfish……Trina’s dad was shot and almost killed, and Esme is so blinded by still liking Spencer that she’s willing to try and trap him just to have him for himself. Plus, she needs to realize that not everyone can or has to drop everything around them to care for her and Ace.

Esme may be a good mother but she's a manipulator who hurts and destroys people. Remember that Spencer. She framed Trina and videotaped Joss and Cam in addition to sleeping with your father and almost sending the love of your life to prison. Don't forget that? GH has totally killed this storyline. Smh.

Spencer saying Laura should not be looking for Nicholas makes no sense 😒 because when Ava told him about Esme and Ryan, he expressed remorse about his last conversation with Nicholas and stated not only to Ava but also Laura that he drove his father away. Poor writing ✍️ and character assassination. If GH continues with this type of writing, I really don't see it being on air past 2024

Interesting, the look on Esme's face. Notice the look of eagerness at just the slightest hint of compliment from Spencer sends her fangirling🙄 I also noticed a subtle shift in her expression once he did so. That mask of hers just slipped some more. And she definitely doesn't want Nicholas back. Part of me wonders with all of her appointments with Dr. Austin Holt, and his need to want privacy with her, that perhaps he informed her about Nicholas. After all, Mason is the one who had Nicholas removed from Wyndemere. As for Spencer, I'm not at all surprised by his feelings towards his father given how emotionally abusive he was towards him. All the crap he pulled on his son, and then it appears he skipped town. What else do people expect him to think, let alone feel? And I get there are those who don't understand the type of damage that happens to those who are emotionally and mentally abused, and in this case, research regarding the subject would give you a much better understanding how detrimental it is. It might also help in getting to understand Spencer and why he acts and behaves in the way that he does. But make no mistake, for all of what he experienced, he maintain a good amount of empathy.Anyone whose been paying attention would know that that is what he and Trina have in common. He just has a lot more damage to his armor than she does and hasn't had therapy; therefore, his outlook on life, how he sees himself, and how he deals might not be in the way some might understand. It doesn't mean that it's right. It just means this is what he was dealt and he's trying to navigate through it the best way he knows how to. This is why I'm a huge advocate for therapy. Regardless, of him being morally grey, he has more empathy and grace in him than Portia does. That's for damn sure. With that said, I think he said all of that for Esme's benefit. Who would most benefit from all of what came out of Spencer's mouth regarding his father? Esme. She and her father used Spencer as a weapon against his dad. Notice the disdain he had followed by praise for Esme. She ate it up. Esme, is going to end up looking foolish as her mom surmised regarding, Spencer. She told her that she was setting herself up for disappointment if she thought she was going to have this dream life with, her, Spencer, and Ace. And that disappointment comes in the form of a gorgeous, petite, melanated character name, Trina Robinson.💯

The optics coupled with what Spencer is saying about Trina doesn't make sense unless there's a huge payoff with this. Spencer looked annoyed when he was on the couch as Esme tried desperately to draw his attention. Same thing with her, touching his hair. Complete disrespect of his relationship with Trina, disregard for his boundaries and disregard and disrespect of Trina. Her behavior isn't at all matching her so-called apologies/sincerity for Curtis to Trina. Actions and words have to match and hers don't match. And you can't tell me Spencer isn't aware of this. And both he and Valentin made sure to speak with Esme out of the room despite the fact she eavesdropped anyways. With that said, I remain neutral and watch the clips rather than watch the show itself. This isn't my first rodeo in what looks like erasure of Trina, but we'll see. If that is indeed the case, I feel sorry for Tabyana. That would mean they used her and this popular pairing for ratings purposes. The majority of which are melanated women. These white execs know how to milk the audience and not give damn about how popular a character is like Trina Robinson, or what would happen if they were to pull the plug on this popular couple. Where does that leave Tabyana who really put her heart and soul into making Trina Robinson a household name? As i said, I'll watch the clips, but with a side-eye.

While Esme is walking around smiling, flirting and getting away with everything including murder. I will always believe she was the original hook killer. Something has to change. Both actors and characters deserve better. Throwing Esme and Spencer in our faces is not going help us to change how we feel about her. She ruined lives n relationships. She doesn't deserve a free pass. Even in real life u get repercussions for your actions in some way or some form. FV needs to be slapped for this pure #uckery !!

If anyone heard the zoom interview with TA & AP they would know this is what they were talking about, apparently Avery & NAC were shocked by upcoming scripts they saw & both Tabyana & Avery said they "think" a triangle might be coming, but can't give anything away. The Trina actress said her filming into late Aug they were still having issues, & that won't air till well into Sept.

I’m really starting to think Esme remembers and is just playing like she doesn’t. Like father like daughter. She was really quick to say Nic was dead. I know Nic tried to take Ace from her, but that’s going a bit far. She doesn’t want him back. She’s playing the helpless mother, who can’t give her kid a bath. She’s enjoying being around Spencer and I agree w people that say Spencer is being nice to her on purpose. To get her guard down. Did anyone else notice Esme’s reaction when Spencer said he and his brother would be better off without Nic? Something still makes me feel Ace isn’t Nic’s. Nic is a fool. With what was going on with Spencer, he would jump at the chance to start over with another kid, no questions asked.

I don't think Nikolas or Spencer are the father. She concocted a plan/deal with Ryan. In addition to breaking up Nava on Ryan's orders, her whole reason for getting pregnant was so that she would have a guaranteed stake in the Cassadine fortune/estate. Yes, she slept with Nikolas, but I'm still not convinced that Ace is his child. Who tf knows who this kid's father is....If they wanted to get twisty, they could have Ace be Victor's son. It's not out of the realm of crazy for the Cassadine family.
