I LOVE the color that you chose to sample!! I have been looking at this set for a while but wasn't sure why a fast dry kit would come with an activator.The instructions say to use before you do the top coat, for a glass like finish. You didn't use it and they semed to come out just fine, so I wonder, do they even need an activator with this fast dry kit?

i actually did apply a layer of activator before top coat!! it definitely helps make the nails more shiny. thanks for the love!

I really like this product. Question - why is nail dip cracking on the edge of a natural nail?

dip powder cracking always happens to be when the nails are too thin, and don’t have enough strength.

How long do you let your nails dry between top coat applications? I am using Revel products and it seems like the top coat takes forever to dry. Any tips?

after i applied the first coat, i went immediately in with the second coat. then i let the second coat dry for about 3 minutes and had no issues. i personally don’t like the revel top coat and have had problems with it in the past, so i would recommend either finding a better quality one or switching to gel top coat!

i would say yes, you definitely need an activator with any other kit besides this one. the activator plays a crucial role in drying the powder and without it your nails wouldn’t fully harden.

The site says that activator isn't needed, which is obviously incorrect. You do need to use the activator. Also, this product isn't available on Amazon anymore

what do you do if you get dip on your skin and can't wipe it off before it dries?

i would recommend taking a gentle nail file to try and wiggle the product off. otherwise sometimes soaking your hand in water after the process is complete can lift any product off the skin!

Is the clear powder absolutely necessary or could you do it without that step? I ordered this kit a week ago and didn’t realize it didn’t come with the clear powder. It’s silly they include that in the instructions but don’t include in the kit!

hi! a clear powder isn’t absolutely necessary however i definitely recommend it. generally it protects the color powder from filing and seals in the powder underneath. however, you can totally do a mani without it.

you don’t need an activator to actually harden the powders, however you do need it to activate the top coat. so therefore they sent it for that reason if that makes sense!

katesnails thank you! I actually ended up redoing my nails because they were THROBBING. So odd haha. They feel a lot better now but they’re like rock hard, is this normal?! Maybe I still need to use thinner layers...

Victoria Lee i find if you’re not used to having dip on your nails it can sometimes feel hard and strong. some people just don’t like that feeling. thinner layers does help with that and makes them slightly more flexible! ☺️

DONT GET THIS KIT! i recently bought it and although it dries fast, it only lasts a couple days (if that)! i could literally peel my nails off! and amazon won’t let customers return their kits because it’s with chemicals!
