Oh, I remember watching this back in college and yelling, "Nooo, Paddy, noooo". I adored him! Most likely Denise Alexander is wearing sunglasses inside because she didn't get to makeup in time! I watched a kind of "making of GH" thing one day, and the actors said they had to get to hair and makeup in their own time in between run throughs, one-on-one rehearsals with co-stars if they needed more time to work through the scene, and if they didn't get to hair and makeup they were screwed. Something along those lines. Thus, the shades meant she may not have gotten her contacts in on time, or gotten her eyes done on time in makeup. The schedule for a soap back then was very, very tight.

Ahh, right! Makes sense and I vaguely remember that. Thanks for answering. Didn't realize how much I missed back then until I watched these sussezq videos. Don't think I got a VCR until, maybe, '83. Interested in discovering how much story I remember once I get that far in the youtubes. In the meantime, it's a blast to fill in the blanks after so much time. Some parts I think, "I remember that!" and some parts I think, wow I "never knew that!" or "never saw that" or "I'm finally seeing that for the first time after all these years!"

Somebody posted that they saw a behind-the-scenes documentary of sorts regarding soap operas. They said that they were ran on such short time in the old days that sometimes the actors couldn't get to hair and makeup in time. In those instances they might just leave on their sunglasses
