As for LnL1, the reason there is no one like them now is becasue the writers and EP won't take a chance on a couple that doesn't make sense but has amazing chemistry. Instead they just throw people together randomly. The magic of LnL1 was Monty's ability to see the potential and Marland's ability to write a story that drew everyone in and made sense. That was the magic formula. It isn't hard, it just takes guts.

Well I guess you could be right? Look maybe am blind or just love blind? When Luke & Laura kissed even after GF / Laura got married I still saw that same kiss romantic magic that LnL had. If we didn’t I don’t think we would still be watching? I mean I could be wrong...sometimes I’am. But I still saw the pure romantic and sweet tenderness that LnL had. That is why we stilled watched. @@kathylanda681Yes, I know many fans felt the way you do. For me though, I thought the chemistry went by the way side when GF married. Don't know why. In the early 80s when they were both single and they had that killer chemistry going--that was lovely but fleeting. The department store dancing and champagne❤ Oh my, how wonderful!! But, in my opinion, it was fleeting and slowly went into the mist😢

I disagree. Genie still has chemistry with a lot of her leading men in movies and GH. She even had incredible chemistry with Stephen Nichols when he played Stefan, I didn't like that story line but I couldn't deny the chemistry. No it was the writers that killed the LNL love story.

I don't think it was GF being married as much as TG being gay. Notice GF still had awesome kissing scenes with others, just not TG. Perhaps TG was being careful with the AIDS crisis. I mean I look at the scenes she did with Roman on Days and they are pretty hot. Also the scenes she did with Jack Abbott on Y&R. Seems to me that TG had issues with kissing scenes during the 1993 season onward.
