That split second after Luke says "you mean nothing in my life" to Laura--you can see the brief look of hurt and pain on her face before she recovers with a smile and a comeback. I really felt for her, especially since I had someone say something similar to that in my younger years---it KILLS to hear it. Truly fantastic acting.

This back-and-forth dynamic ended my marriage. The inability to speak your feelings is destructive as all get out. Each is dying to hear the other's words of love and commitment, and instead, they get nasty sniping and fake words of derision and denial. It's designed to frustrate the audience, but in real life - and girls did watch this and learn - this is an awful way to communicate. Thank heavens, these two actually get back together!

That valet is living pretty well for a servant. Not very realistic but I guess he's really their front man. And Laura is not as naive as Alex seems to think. She's gone the rounds with Bobbi more than once. I'm laughing at Laura letting Luke know what Alex said. He gave himself away with that scarf but then she gets under his skin. I'm waiting for him to lose it and kiss her and maybe that's what she's waiting for too.

@Sue McGee I agree - Laura's outfits in the 90's were the worst - so drab & dull - and Luke's hairstyles then weren't too attractive either! I think he looked more handsome in the late 90's when he cut it short.

@@7bear I think the reason they dressed her that way in the 90's was because the 15 year age difference between TG and GF was really starting to show, so they decided to dress Laura like an older woman would dress. In 1993 when they came back TG was 46 years old, Genie was only 31.
