This is how it should have always been.....No matter if Luke and Laura were intimately involved or not, we the viewer should have always believed (from the writing) that they loved one another no matter what. The writers destroyed perfection.

Yes they did. But don't forget TG helped destroy this himself. It is what he wanted. He has even admitted he did GF wrong by keeping her off the show for so long. She was forced to go to other soap operas just to have a job because TG didn't want to act with her anymore on GH. I have lost so much respect for TG since he retired and did all these interviews slamming the GH fans and the LnL storyline. I'm so glad GH is finally showing GF the respect she has always deserved. Maybe Robert should color his hair and cover up the grey and court Laura again in 2023.

@@nancyfalcheck9174 Check out the interviews. He has even apologized for his part in keeping her off the show. He didn't want to continue the LnL love story, but he knew if she were on the show permanently the fans would have insisted they be together. That is why the producers only brought her in for sweep weeks for the ratings at 6 weeks at a time. Once TG left in 2015, Genie got a full-time contract with 10 weeks of vacation a year.

I know he wanted to go on to do other things. However, he won 8 awards. More than anyone else on soap opera. He could have left GH permanently yrs before. But he made very good money, which was an insinitive to stay. Now he's 76 soon to be 77 in May. I'll always be a fan of the early. LNL. but never of him and Tracey. Best of luck to all

Thank you so much for uploading these. I’ve been binging them and recalling a more sane & peaceful time. Later this afternoon, I have to take my mom & her dying cat to the vet for … you know. It’s the 3rd cat that I’ve had to take to rainbow bridge this year and it doesn’t get any easier. I’ve lost 2 of my 3 cats to an aggressive cancer this year.

Agreed! Luke wanted to marry Laura from the day he met her! He never had to be forced. I've always believed that re writing a story without knowing it's back ground is what has caused so much discontent with long term viewers! We know the history and quite frankly (Frank) it's not too difficult to find it!

Luke wanted Laura to be pregnant with is baby after the rape. He makes several references to wanting kids and he adamantly wanted to marry her. There is no denying any of that, I don't know why anyone got the fool idea to try, especially not a GH writer whose job it is to know the backstory and make their story believable in context.

There are a couple videos showing how LnL became close trusted friends. Twice Luke remembers events in Laura's life Scott discards unimportant to him and she trusts Luke as a personal confidante. He fired her that afternoon because "YOU are too special to me to work here, I am protecting you from me because I can't look at other women". Same day as law book fight.
