At this time in 1981, Rick Sprngfield was climbing the charts and even had a song in the top 10. Surely that must have boosted GH viewership.

Viewership peaked before Rick Springfield even showed up. It went down from 11.4 to 11.2 on Nielson's ratings after Rick came aboard and during the Ice Princess storyline. Still a very high rating though.

@@gerardfonz Yes, I lost all interest when O"Reily died, Clay, and then Laura disappeared. All so sad. when they were going on the ship that's where I want to go back and start from the beginning. How Luke & Laura met and their relationship grew.

Luke actually took classes at PCU before the Summer on the run. He may not have graduated, but to say he had no collegiate education was just being too defensive. He was working his way through school. As for Tiffany, in the end, she became much more personable, and I think that came about with good, real friendships, rather than Hollywood friendships. I liked her character further on down the road.

@@deja_vu.. no it is not all there. Luke helping Laura study in the park or watching her practice cheerleading and taking pictures of her. None of those scenes are included. We seem to be missing a lot of the build up of their friendship before Laura married Scotty. I would love to see those scenes again.

I sure would have loved to have seen Luke watching Laura practice cheerleading & taking her pictures! The building up of their friendship which turned into love! One of the greatest love stories on a soap even up until this day! Luke and Laura.
