My daughter is going to Amsterdam for her job in a few days!! I said something like "find Tony Geary and tell him to come back to GH"!!! She had no idea what I was talking about and rolled her eyes and mumbled something about "my mother's dumb soap operas"! I wish she could have watched Luke and Laura back in the day. She would not think that way!!

@@christineadams1284 when I was in grade school, the boys got super excited over some guy they saw one day during lunch. I thought it was a relative or friend of the family of someone who went to school with me, although I'd never seen this person before and it's a very small town and was so even more a few years back. I wanted to go find out why this guy was so important, so I went up around the boys and started asking "who's he?" They looked at me like I was crazy and said "Cortez Kennedy!" like I was supposed to know that name 🤷🏻‍♀️ I asked my mom later who Cortez Kennedy was, she told me he was an NFL player who was from the town over. I was still clueless because I didn't really watch football back then. He was super nice though,hugged and shook the kids hands even mine, even though I must've looked at him like this was a stranger danger situation.

As campy as this is, there is a lot of truth in the Jennifer character. She was desperate for Luke in her very first incarnation.

I find it interesting how many actresses have played her and to such different extremes over the decades. There was the first one obviously who I guess most people don't remember, then there was of course Rosanne Barr who played her as a bitter loved starved woman, then Sally Struthers version who is hysterical and brought a lot of comedy to the role, and then most recently Holly Gagnier who was a complete 180 from Rosanne & Sally's versions but still just as deadly.

Totally can see the Jennifer Smith character going the way of Roxanne Barr or Sally Strouthers, didn’t buy the actress in 2015, she was too tall & slender. Consistent, though, in her determination to finally get Luke in the sack. Poor Jenn never had sex w/Luke. Awww..😫😩😭
