We have learned that this particular build is basically the E3 2005 build.

They actually had the vocals to the Jimi Hendrix song, wow.

it's so interesting to see how it looked in the pre-release.

If this was an actual build from June 2005, I'm really surprised how much work they managed to to do in like 2 - 3 months. Especially considering major mechanics of the franchise, like HOPOS and star power, must've been late additions to the game. I guess that also explains why HOPOS ended up so busted in the retail version -- they literally only had a few weeks to figure it out and tune it while somebody had to be skilled enough to do expert playtests.

i kinda like fret placements, might swap the frets on my guitar to that scheme

If you have World Tour Definitive Edition, they have this color scheme as an option.

@@DogFishMane yup, ik. did that, & on clone hero also. recently modded my frets to light up when pressed so it’s even cooler 😄

The rock meter seems to not work, idk what the star power is doing, and the point system is confusing. But i do like the highway burning off at the end of a song.

GH1 back in June 2005 uses Karaoke Revolution's point system.

given that this is a prototype, you were judged by how well you did and there was no score boosting like that.

Surprised they had a Gibson sponsorship at this point. Also, I see why they didn't keep Wavegroup's Hendrix vocals in the final product lol
