There it is, congratulations on 1st overall and 1st at some point on every song. Seems to me like you got a pretty good score on this one to top it off. I think this song is a fairly interesting song for squeezing, but that 5 minute intro... I also like how little the 1st act matters for ticks compared to the nightmare O to B hold sections.
@EvilApple567Ай бұрын
Thank you, means a lot. Yeah I find the second act almost insulting in that regard. Sure lemme just go for this 5 whammy squeeze 4+ minutes in for 30 points before the actual acts even start lol. The other big tick bleed spot in this song is the YO sustains into G on solos M/N. Trying to hold ticks on this path (along with optimizing the H/I act that I failed) for 639 would be crazy.

I’ve been lurking for a while, but feel the need to comment. You are amazing! Squeezing is truly a lost art and you have perfected it, it is so great to watch. Congrats! I look forward to seeing what you bring us next! 👀

Wow, this is unexpected. Used to play your RBN songs a lot on RB2 (Had a post solo choke on XIV that still haunts me lmao), really cool you popped up and left such a nice comment at that, thank you.

Once again proving that you’re the undisputed GH2 squeezing god. Your videos are my favourite to watch on the platform, for sheer skill as well as your understanding of the game mechanics which you usually discuss in your commentaries (admittedly my favourite part of your content). Glad you decided to come back after the FSFC after all, can’t wait to see you push the limits of the Xbox port.

Huge congrats on achieving 1st on every song!, and overall for GH2! Free Bird always looked like a horrible time to squeeze just looking at the path. I'm happy to hear you are planning to 80's at some points because I really like it. It's the first GH game I got on launch day. I'm going to see if I can get a FGFC of 80's soon, just need to finish off GH1. I got Decontrol recently and have 4 songs left (TF, FIU, GR2R, BATM).
@EvilApple567Ай бұрын
Nice, Decontrol was probably 3rd hardest in the game for me, and it's probably harder execution than FiU but learning FiU is just a lot harder. Honestly the path for FB isn't too bad, the only thing that really sucks is the 5 minute intro.

Insane score! Congrats for permanent 1st place on GH2, you have destroyed the entire game. Any chance you will do one last “madhouse length grind” for the psychobilly halfbar? You would definitely get it, would just be a matter of runs for you
@EvilApple567Ай бұрын
I'm getting this strange sense you want me to go for PF half bar..? Maybe it's just something out in the ether. I just TAS'd it in PAL and didn't get it, so there goes that potential bailout. If I do end up really grinding it, it'll likely be one of the last things in this engine I go for (after 80's, xbox, reasonable squeezes, etc.). Would probably be more inclined to go for it if someone ends up "cheesing" overall 1st by getting it though lmao. Also how dare you use the M word, undoing months of therapy.

@@EvilApple567 Tanner got the Psychobilly halfbar on Hard, so I’m sure you can get it on Expert as it’s equally possible. Granted the chorus pattern is much easier and the phrase’s first sustain is a single note on Hard, and that makes setting up perfect early whammy to start the phrase to be harder on Expert. So you’ll really need to practice perfect whammy on that first sustain (I’d imagine it will be the hardest part, and it will set you up to get perfect early whammy on the next staying in rhythm from where you hit the first sustain). I absolutely know you can do it. I’ll also recommend trying to get a buffed whammy frame on that first sustain, just as like you did on cherry pie, so that you can get the psychobilly halfbar even while missing a frame of whammy on one of the other sustains. It sure will be hard with that chord pattern but I’m sure you can get it down and it will be so worth it once you do. Of course if you find a way to get buffed whammy on multiple (even two) sustains in that phrase I’m sure you’ll be able to get the halfbar multiple times an hour. If you commit a grind as long as Madhouse you WILL break 340k on psychobilly, it’s guaranteed for you. And when you get it you’ll have accomplished arguably the greatest squeezing score in the series, and that is coming from me. I think you’ll literally be 1st overall on GH2 for centuries, until the end of time. Also maybe see if you can practice getting a halfbar on console from either the first or second choruses? Hit the first SP sustain without whammying, then miss on the 2nd phrase, then whammy the first 8 notes of the 3rd or 5th SP phrases (then miss the GY of course). Unsure if the halfbar is equally possible from either of the first choruses doing this, or if it will be a frame off (which would be a bummer), but if you find either of these do get the halfbar in emulator, that will be a way to practice on console and save yourself 10+ hours (instead of doing endless runs to the outro just to get another shot at practicing). Once you get the halfbar this way then go back to full runs to get the halfbar at the end would be how I’d do it anyway.

@@KyleHUNK Buffered/1st frame whammy is far from a universal mechanic unfortunately, and doesn't work on most strums, this included from my testing. Also the mechanic only would benefit the first chord in this phrase since all the following ones continue whammy from the first meaning they already get first frame whammy. That's crazy it's been done on hard, but I do believe it would be significantly harder on expert due to it being all chords making "forming" them frame perfectly much more precise while holding the sustains to their max. Good idea about practicing it through chorus 1 though, I'll def look into whether those provide the same whammy as last, but the tempo is different both before the sustains (early whammy on first chord) and during so I wouldn't expect a 1:1 but who knows worth a shot. The other aspect of this that makes it so daunting is that the outro is awkward as hell and under that pressure idk if any method could remedy that. Ofc even if you miss you'd still likely get first but it would feel so awful regardless.
