Thanks for this "Cousin Tony" Nice video! One thing I wanted to ask about the multi entry. I tried that but was told by the Ghana Embassy in DC that since this was my first time visiting I didn't qualify for multi entry. Did they not tell me the truth on that one? Also you were correct about yellow fever and age. I am over 65 and was told by my health provider that the side effects for my age group were too dangerous so I was exempt and given a yellow card to show upon arrival. Thanks again for everything and see you in less than a year!!

No, they haven't lifted the covid vaccine requirements. I know you are itching for people to go to Ghana but don't lie or else you are going to inconvenience a whole lot of people. It states on all Ghana Embassies & High commission websites that either you have proof of vaccination, or you will be vaccinated before you are allowed in, or out of the country.

Hey Tony and Ayo. We just got back to the US a few days ago after being in Ghana for 2 weeks. When we arrived the Visa on Arrival area was is still processing visa for people entering without one. My friend that works there as an immigration officer said that they are still granting visas on arrival and it is $160 for single entry. He also said that visitors without the shot, must arrive with proof of a negative pcr test result along with their Health Declaration Form and they will be tested again on arrival free of charge. So visitors no longer have to pay for the test and they no longer have to test when they leave. This info came directly from an immigration officer.

If you flying with Delta, United or American Airlines they gonna request all your documentation before issuing you a ticket. Yellow Fever, Covid Vacancies 2 shots. And a copy of your Hotel reservation and you can also used that as your point of contact now when applying for your Visa.

I don’t believe that is quite correct. I work for the airlines and they never ask for all those documents. They will ask for your jab card and it doesn’t have to be for 2 jabs and if you don’t have the card your health declaration form and negative pcr test results is required.

A unique turn would be to partner with a person or youtube whose coming to Ghana for an extended stay (1-2 months) and document their process from searching for flights to finding a place to stay, to airport mishap, to travel to collect documents, etcc

I sometimes wonder why Ghana unnecessarily wraps itself up in so much excessive bureaucracy? Just a few years ago they introduced an invitation letter from a host in Ghana. Followed by evidence of the host's passport, or Ghana card. On the heels of this you then were asked to provide the host's digital address, and on completing my visa application for travel in Jan 2024, you are now required to include your yellow fever certificate (along with your passport, and other docs) when submitying your application. Phew!! I travel to Ghana once a year, and it seems that the travel requirements are increasing exponentially. I have no idea as to why this is. Ghana is feverishly positioning itself as a tourist hub, and yet is placing obstacles at the foot of potential travelers at each turn!

Almost all countries only allow you to apply for a visa in your country of residence. If you have a valid Ghanaian resident card then you will be able to apply at the Nigerian High Commision in Ghana. (If you have a Ghanaian passport you don't need a visa for Nigeria).

I know 4 people who got COVID, all before the vaccination was available. The first was my wife who was bedridden for a month and convalescent for two. The second was my doctor who was in a coma for two weeks, bedridden for a month and convalescent for three months. The third was my brother in law in Abidjan, who was ill for a month. The last was my next door neighbor, who died a week after testing positive for COVID-19. If you feel like spreading diseases around stay away from Africa, please.

As long as you have a visa, you do not have to show proof of return. They require you to show where you will be staying. If you decide to stay longer, like Tony and Ayo said, you just need to pay for the extension and it will be granted as long as your visa is in good standing.

@Courage before Dishonor You're Right, although Ghana, is not giving out a lot of Citizenship, 126 people were given CitizenshipOn Dec 30th 2022 I know people whom have been waiting more than 8 years, and still waiting, there's more than 10,000.00 people waiting for Citizenship, it appears that you have to be in a Click! Or be a Famous person, with a lot of Money, I find that it's not worth the Time or Energy, waiting for a Government that took part in the Slave Trade, to awaken and do what's right.
