Tooltips for support gems show which skill gems are affected. Are you saying that even though the tooltip has a green check, that the minions might not be affected?

Thx for these great explanations. Maybe you can also answer this question: How does Gem level and Minion level interfere? For example Spectes have a Minion lvl of 28 at Gem lvl 1 and 72 at Gem lvl 20. But for animate guardians for example I have no clue how minion level progression looks like. Can you help me with that? :)

My zombies often die fast if enemies has some strong buffs and attack\spell type... i reached lvl 87 by playing Necro with Absolution and just go to the Veritania... this was terrible :(

How does spell echo, or 20% quality spell echo and awakened spell echo, interact with Skelly mages? it seems to be the go to gem but shouldn't it only work on you summoning them? and if so why is this used so much when we could add something that directly benefits the skeletons?

it's used so that you don't have to spam skele mages like 8 times to get all the minions out. spell echo allows you to cast only twice to have every skele minion out

No. Global modifiers don't affect minions unless stated otherwise.

Ghazzy, I feel that Rallying Cry is really being slept on. Even as a super poor player, you can easily afford a 500 base damage Karui Chopper. That translates to 200 extra flat damage to minion attacks. Now Level 20 Summon Skeleton and Summon Zombies have base attack around 1500-2000. So this is effectively 10% more damage, from a single 1-link spell. Meanwhile, Animate weapon is even better - much lower base damage, with inherent More multipliers.

Playing a minion build on PS5 can be a pain if you don’t use POB, since the DPS doesn’t show up in the game. You can still get a feel for it by playing, but that’s about it.

But then you need to keep casting your minions till you get a crit, which would be annoying as fuck after the first 5 minutes. Especially if you combine that with desecrate for spectres.

Sorry but this doesn't tell me at all how to scale anything effectively. You just explain what is compatible with what. That doesn't really have anything to do with what I understand as "scaling effectively". Which I interprete as "what to go for first, what modifiers do we go for and what are important values to look out for".

He did explain how you scale minions effectively. He even showcased this with his gear and socketed gems if you were paying attention. Notice how his gear has "+level to socketed minion gems" and "+spell damage to socketed gems"? He also pointed out the Aegis passive that allows minions to inherit stats from the shield. That is how you properly scale minions because minions do not (except for extremely rare cases) scale from any of your own stats or gear.
