The hardest part about trying to follow guides right now is there's very little explanation throughout the leveling process. It just shows a final trree and gem setup with like supports that make sense when everything is put together. Many times there are better supports to use during leveling, like before you take a keystone or some notables on the tree. I'm left struggling to figure out how to make it feel good while leveling and often quit on it and try something else.

Your resist doesn't matter if she doesn't hit you and she is not hard to avoid. Doing more damage is always good, because you have less room to screw up, if the boss dies fast, but yes getting +1 level on your gem surely does the same in some cases, because in some builds, upgrading the gem level is the highest DPS increase you can get.

As someone who is More MMO based, and has played seasonally in D3 and some D4 and trying the Path of Exiles side for the first time its easy to be misled. POE the original was daunting because there were so many systems that i had no clue about that I didn't want to dive in with other options available. POE2 seemed like the perfect opportunity and it has been a blast. I've definitely had my struggles and have been watching a bunch of vids.... many from these channels that just got blasted. As someone new its a struggle to always feel behind the ball. appreciate your help on the minions side of things as I have been enjoying it a lot. Will have to find the other class people too. Videos build guides are usually not very good in poe. Maxroll is probably the best for being really detailed most of the time. Mobalytics and once icy veins has their poe2 site up are good to. Written guides with planners are your best friend when it comes to poe

I saw that the charakter changes for quarterstaff when i use "killing palm" but do exist stats on my Quarterstaff i can use even when i attack ith my bare fist? it depends ^^ the biggest issue is that decimal numbers are not shown on trade. so you might list an item for 5,5div, it only shows 5div and you get showered with requests so you put it out and reprice it to 6. ofc there are always items where you dont notice you have a good roll since checking rolls on uniques is not supported yet and some obvious pricefixers ontop and you can run into that problem fairly often

I am a returning POE player that quit because the game mechanics got so bloated and complicated, POE felt like a second job. I also played Diablo 4 and was frustrated that all of my friends were falling victim to this, and REFUSED to listen to me the resident expert, because the channels had millions of followers and videos had that many views. I get on POE2 a few days late, and what do I do? I look for exactly what type of build I am looking for, and I go and search the Tube until I find a dude thats running a stupid insane subathon whre he is grinding the game and the class for 28 to 29 hours at a time lmao. Not the dudes with flashy videos and cool edits and edgy or exciting titles. That way I know that when I get myself to end game, and then decide I want to play around a bit, at least I know I was GUIDED in the correct way. W to you brother for what you offer the community. A part of the problem is that a lot of the "bad" producers have way better editing, way clearer audio, etc. They just flat out put out better content in every way *except* for accurate information lol but it's way easier to follow what they're saying, hear them clearly, etc. The more niche people who put the work into getting the gameplay info right often have shit mics, shit quality, have overlays that take up 90% of the screen so you can't see wtf is happening, etc. This is very common in the Warframe community. The videos from the people who know things the best are *such shit quality* and the videos that are clear, concise, and to the point but contain terrible, god awful builds get the most views because... they're actually watchable.

The exact same thing happened with Elden Ring. Fromsoft games where popular already, but still somewhat niche-y. Elden Ring blew up and so many content creators who never talked about these games in the first place where coming up with "Best pvp build, one shot everyone!!". When a game goes from somewhat popular to very fucking popular overnight with a new release this is bound to happen.

Seems realistic to me. But I understand some people want to be shit eaters and if you like "fake news/conspiracy/false info" then their channels are really good for that. They are not good for anyone who want to get better knowledge of the game. Their builds are mid but they say its the best. There is huge cap between mid and best xd. Mid goes and specs like first grader and the build that is best will be min-maxing. It's like some wannabe investor makes video, best investment to end 2024 and then they talk about everything that would lose you money or if you are lucky will break back even. I absolutely hate D4 content creators with their "ULTIMATE BUILD" - "NEW BEST ULTIMATE BUILD" - "FINAL NEW BEST ULTIMATE BUILD V2 ITS SO BROKEN AND INSANE DAMAGE I SHIT MY PANTS WHILE PLAYING IT" and sh*t. it's absolutely atrocious. like even on mobalytics you got a bunch of those. Reminds me of all the garbage videos people used to make of their builds in Division 2. They go and tell you it's one of the best out there and that it clears all content. You go and try and build it and question how TF they even got as far as they did without being hard-carried by friends cus you die repeatedly and do no damage. It really isn't hard to do some research to see who is legit and who is a click-baiter, but people just don't put the time into it and continue to get scammed.

I think the biggest problem with like channels like Ragegaming is that they collect a bunch of different streamers endgame builds that look fun and replicate/imitate. Where as finding starter/fresh account builds is actually pretty difficult. I think the learning curve for this game is a bit much sometimes for new people.

Bait Builds - Giant flashy titles with a stupid face shot. (Uh oh, that most creators now...) CC does not show their gear, progression, or stats by general level. They do their showcase using Mobalytics, perfect rolled gear, and provide no insight on where you should be in the scaling. Bonus points - they blur or hide the level of content they are running. Find a guild, establish trust, grow in community, meet chill people - crowd source info with trustworthy sources.

I dont follow build guides, but i do drop by Maxroll and see what they've written, or watch their teams' content. Or ill listen to Ziz's podcasts. Talkative Tri has been putting out really great interview casts that ill listen to while playing. Other than that, i dont really click on build videos regardless of the creator.

You should watch the videos yourself, unfortunately DSLily talks a lot of nonsense, which creates unnecessary hatred. For example, in the videos from RageGaming, where she claims that they say you should set low prices and then adjust them upwards, that's not true. They clearly say in the video that new players should try to inform themselves, observe and learn. They say you should downgrade your prices if it doesn't sell for a long time, and only if you have made a big miscalculation, which is currently happening because hardcore players are manipulating the market, then it's okay to see that it was crap and the price adjust upwards. But it is clearly emphasized that you are still learning and should then know better! And the second one isn't even a ranking, it's just an order to present builds and their creators so that new players can choose something there to find out more. Yes, some of them are builds based on ranking, but also builds that RageGaming personally found interesting and says so in the video. Yes their titles are exaggerated but the content is decent. The titles are also more for the core community, as they know that the boys are looking to have fun with the game and also like to fool around.

i had to laugh so hard when she is like "Gear doesn't matter". Gear is literally the #1 most important thing action rpg. in fact, a large reason why your not doing damage in story mode is that every piece weapon needs to have +level of skills, high & damage roll and flat damage. If you don't have that, your leveling is experience is going to complete ass. Skills obviously matter as well. there's is obvious difference between using Ice strike with Monk bell that has 100%+120% scale, aka 220% damage scaling skill vs Glacial carcade that is 80% damage scaling skill. the number obviously matter on skills.

well the game aint super gear reliant using skills correctly and upgrading your skill setup also does a lot but yeah I wouldnt play without spending a whole minute at the vendor because those +1 wands and stuff make a huge difference in terms of speed

there is a cc named allie, i saw her tri stacking budget pillar build and went for it (her all argument was the build was enough to take you to t15 and farm for hwa there) and at t9 my explosive shot merc blasting the brraches turned into -2div shitty ass pillar of god cosplayer no damage tank without howa the str stacking version CERTAINLY not enough until t15 but at her video she was showing the build at t15 etc. later i watched her new video after she ruined my casual ass she was using some same footage and saw her howa when she opened the inventory. Ooof, that CC that claimed "gear doesn't really matter" is ROUGH. I went in completely blind to PoE II (had maybe 10 hours experience in PoE 1) and after about the 5th time eating dirt in the Act 1 final boss fight I decided to check my cold resistance- I decided to find items to take it from 10%(ish) to over 40% and the fight was a breeze. In that moment I realized your skill tree is like a third of your potential (assuming you don't do the Hobbiton -> Rivendell -> Mordor-> Go Back -> Up, up, up the stairs -> Back to Mordor route lol).

I followed his builds and immediately quit the game. They are not new player friendly at all no matter what the title says. He barly posts pob. He is a very experienced good poe player and makes every build look really easy when he has sunk tones if currency in his builds to make it work. Do not recommend as a a new player at all.
