Congratulations on all the offers. I'm a recent NU admit and your videos have been very helpful for me. If I may ask did you do CS at McCormick or Weinberg and do you think there are any pros of doing it at one school over the other. Also do you have any general advice to a person planning on doing CS at NU?

Thank you! And congrats on NU!!💜💜💜 I’m in Weinberg and I think Weinberg is better if you prefer liberal arts (ethics, literature & fine arts, history, foreign languages etc) while I think McCormick is better if you prefer stem (engineering, bio, chem, physics, etc). Also check to see if you have AP credits that better suit one or the other. I hope that helps!

@@lucywbeck Thank you so much! I did mostly STEM subjects in HS so I'll go with McCormick. Your offers are amazing. Do you have any general advice for NU students who want to end up at a FAANG or big tech company. What kind of things do you think we should focus on at NU to give us our best shot at getting a good offer. How much does getting a high GPA matter?

@@hareshwedanayake7427 honestly there’s so much I could say about this but here’s a summary of what I’d suggest: 1. Getting experience working on code (often through personal projects, class projects, or clubs) is the best way for getting past the resume round. 2. Practicing coding challenges is the best way for getting past OAs 3. As long as you average mostly As and Bs, gpa shouldn’t be a concern for most big tech companies
