This is a bit late, but...Holy Mass was said once per day..what you are referring to is The Divine Office (official prayer of The Church), of which there were seven offices, occurring around the times that you've stated..there was also Matins, which was an Office that was chanted around 2AM, in a set a three Nocturnes...this pattern is still followed in Monasteries today..I will qualify that public Mass was said once a day, but following that, votive Low Masses for special reasons, causes, or for the souls, or a single soul, in Purgatory, could and was said multiple times, especially in Monasteries and especially Chantry's (places set up specifically for this purpose), but these were usually recited alone, with just the priest. No faithful present, not even a server. Again this is still done today as well..it's called a Missa Solitaria, and is done in current Chantry's, called Purgatorial Society's.
