The cloud nine is probably the same as the old GHDs because the producers of C9 made GHD before they were sold to china. They used the same concept on the C9 + temperature regulation. Ive had mine for at least 6 years and only have to replace it because my dogs chewed the cord. Still worked perfectly! :)

@@KristyJoan hi there. I'm curious about something regarding my new Platinum Plus GHDS. They're supposed to have floating plates. Are they also supposed to move slightly dur to this. Like a slight rocky movement? Like suspension?

My white platinum ghd lasted just over 2 years and the customer (non) service is appalling. It heats up and stops working continuously beeping. Now looking for other brands that will last hopefully much longer than the warranty.

Hi, same with my white platinum GHD after 2 years of used its beeping & flashing red and stop working! (non-replaceable!) Its my 3rd GHD straightener stuff & all same issues! Its time to change my brand! Waste of money.

Ghds make my hair static,then l bought glamorisor, thought they were better than ghds,then l thought l am gonna treat myself get cloud nine original straighteners,Jesus....l should of cloud nine years ago lol,there the best,l just had a blunt bob cut, and they do my hairstyle perfect!!!!frizzy free,no static,sleek finish the best cloud nine

the reason why cloud 9 straighteners are so similar to GHD's is because cloud 9 is owned by the original owner of GHD!

Hey Sharna, if you can still get your hands on the nocturne set it is a very good budget friendly way of getting both the straightner and dryer, however if you just need a straightner and can't find the set, the Halo is beautiful!

sharna katzeff both will be damaging if you don’t use a heat protector, with the exception of you we’re to use a low temperature setting on the halo (but still use a heat protector!!!)

I have a halo i think it's a kate? But it's got titanium plates i think not ceramic? Its like silver and shiny. Came with the deal where the curling wand was free so thought. Why not. Its been many years since i got it and it works fine. Did the whole ghd va halo debate and for the product n price i got at the time. Am happy. I need better hair styling skills though.

😭😭😭 Saw this and got a halo when i went Christmas shopping last weekend but it was so cheap feeling and shit in my hand it couldn't even compare to my 8 year old Evalentric hair straightener. Worse is the store i got it at won't refund me even though it's unused u_u If technology is all you care about then sure it might be for you, but if you want something that feels good and more high end, go GHD platinum+ if money isn't a deciding factor.

Is your ghd platinum still going strong or has it broken down yet? So many people are saying it stopped working after 2 years, that's why I'm on the fence about it, but I absolutely love the design 😧.

Hey! No mine is still working fine! I heard that the first batch that came out had quite a few faults, but I haven't heard anyone lately having the same problem. I believe it was called the "red flash of death" era

It's just the name, the iron is made from ceramic :)
