The Dafni keeps a constant 185°C / 365°F during use and I LOVE mine. I am mixed race (African-American and Irish-American), so I have fairly coarse, curly/wavy hair. I must section my hair like Lily Pebbles, but it cuts my straightening time to 30 minutes, from what used to be a 90 minute blow dry/flat ironing session. They also have a great warranty program. I had an issue over a year in and they replaced the brush for free!

I have had the Dafni for years and it's been great. What I like about it is the time it takes for me which is much shorter. And, it doesn't give me stick straight hair but rather leaves my body in it therefore much better than straightner iron. Shine also. Very very good.

I love my straightening brush its a Longko, for anyone like me on a smaller budget I paid less than £20 for it on Amazon last year, it has an adjustable temp a swivel cord and a hanging loop, just adding auto switch off after 30 mins :) I love it for in between washes

Dafni side has more volume which is very important for fine hair I would definitely prefer dafni

I have baby-fine hair with very slight wave as well. Just enough wave to look disheveled, not enough wave to look like it's supposed to be a style. And it won't hold a curl, but it straightens very well. I like the idea of the Dafni, I currently use a blow-dryer with a brush head to straighten my hair, then clean it up with a flatiron, but this looks like a quicker process.

I have a very similar brush from Lidl that I paid £10, in constructions I would say it's closest to the Dafni but heats up to 180 degrees. I've never tried the GHD nor Dafni but I'm extremely happy with it and the result looks very similar to what you're showing on your video. So here's for the really cheap bargain ladies! Only issue with Lidl is that stocks are unpredictable so you almost have to go every week to check... but it was ten pounds!!! Thank you for the video!

Dafni brush changed my life about 2 years ago. Love it, will probably replace with ghd when it dies due to my waves. Travel one I have is annoying as the cable falls out all the time!

I have fine, curly hair and have been using the Silver Bullet heated brush for ages. I am surprised people are acting like the GHD brush is a new invention. I watched this to see if the GHD was different somehow. The Silver Bullet has adjustable temp and was a middle price point. It did kind of change my life when I got it as prior I had to wash my hair every day as I wake up with my hair much more tangled than Nadine's and the minute you brush curly hair it is just a big fluffy mess. 5 mins and I have presentable hair. Not as pin straight as with straighteners, but like the body it gives you. I'm now using the Dyson Airwrap though which gives me a similar look from wet hair with less heat.

I bought the Dafni based on your initial video and I love it . Relieved that you didn’t say GHD was way better 😂 I use same way as you - when I wake up and my hair is gone curly during the night. My next purchase has to be the Dyson hairdryer .

The DAFNI side looks so much better. I have thin, thick hair but if I were to buy one, I'd go with DAFNI based on your demo.

I have thick hair and have the ghd. It works brilliantly at smoothing and straightening. It grips but doesn’t pull. Takes me 5 mins. Definitely worth it.

I'm so glad I came across your tutorial. My hair is long and fine and I have a patch of short, curly baby hairs on one side of my hairline that drives me nuts! My bangs/fringe are also very frizzy for some reason and I spend way too much time trying to smooth it out. I just purchased the Dafni and hope it makes getting ready in the morning easier.

Great review. I just purchased the Brush Crush from Drybar and didn’t know GHD made a heated brush. My brush is so much better than my GHD straightener. I was so surprised at the results.

I use the Amika one which is similar. My hair is dead straight but I had a perm, which is a bit much for about a month before it calms down. So I use the smoothing brush to “straighten” it and get the curls under control. Works brilliantly.

I have the Dafni and I think it's good for precisely the reason you mentioned: straightening kinks and bedhair. I have seen a few GHD reviews and Ruth Crilly kept burning herself with it! All and all, I think for a heated brush you really don't have to spend a lot, so yes, go for the Dafni especially if you can find it on sale. XD
@GinnyLantern5 жыл бұрын
I bought the Dafni brush last year, first time I used it I hated it and burnt my hand. Actually tried it again this week, before this video funnily enough and it did a wonderful job and really quick (and no burnt hands). I have shoulder length, thick hair and just did the under section first then top section, easy and very happy with end result.
@jaxt71975 жыл бұрын
It looked like the GHD created some static in your hair? That would be a deal breaker for me. It also looked like the GHD did not give you as nice of a bend at the ends, unless that was because it was the more "difficult" side?
@regroovable5 жыл бұрын
I think the ghd side looked smoother. Something else to consider is ghd have a 2 year warranty, not sure what Dafni offer.

I have a thin head of baby fine hair that has some wave to it....fly-away.....frizzes....I prefer straight hair. I have a heated brush which I ordered thru a shopping network....it has a little window that tells what temperature it is. For hair like mine, it's best to have it at the lowest heat. I love the heated brush ! I can straighten my hair in seconds....just a pass or two & it's done. What's not to love?

You do not suit straight hair hanging down flat against your head. You looked far better when your hair was up at the beginning of the vid or with some volume and curl
