I too am a Vata type and bought a jar of ghee last week and used it up in less than a week! I just LOVE 😍 the taste of it! But at £10 a jar I’m gonna have to make my own. I just hope it tastes the same. And yep I know all about stiff body and constipation, so I’m looking to see great improvements with my sleep, digestion and skin as I start fully incorporating eating the Ayurvedic way from tomorrow. Thank you so much for these videos, they are very helpful and informative to me. Keep up the good work guys.

I am also vata. I have organic ghee but keep forgetting to use it. I tried recently to put around my eyes, as I have read it diminishes wrinkles. Don't know if that is true, but trying it anyhow.

How is it used with coffee? Does it make the coffee sweet?
@banyanbotanicals
@banyanbotanicals 2 жыл бұрын
Great question! Adding a half teaspoon of ghee or coconut oil and blending it into your coffee will help to counter the dry and acidic effects of coffee, offering a blend that won’t take as big a toll on your nervous system or digestive well-being.

I love ghee and use it for cooking and as a moisturizer. I don't think that I'll be using it as a lubricant for doors, it's quite expensive, but I appreciate the info.

Please let me know how do you make coffee with ghee?
@banyanbotanicals
@banyanbotanicals 5 жыл бұрын
Good question! There are a few different ways to make "bulletproof ghee coffee," as it is usually called. We don't currently have a recipe for it on our website, but some of us here at the office like to add 1 or 2 teaspoons of ghee and/or coconut oil to a mug of freshly brewed coffee in the mornings. You can also add ghee and coffee to a blender for a "latte" option. We encourage you to look online and see if you can't find some other creative ways to make it!

@@banyanbotanicals So you dont add milk, just ghee for the coffee?
@banyanbotanicals
@banyanbotanicals 5 жыл бұрын
Good question! Adding milk appears to be a matter of preference when it comes to coffee and ghee. It's not something all of us do here at Banyan and we are not authorities on this particular combination, but this does seem to be a popular way of using ghee! Perhaps we will look into this and post a recipe at some point in the future. In the meantime, we encourage you to do your own research and experiment with it. Cheers! ☕

@@tirunagariuttam You don't add milk if you want it to be bullet proof coffee, but when you put the ghee/coconut oil in the blender with the black coffee it gets creamy and looks like it has milk.

I love Ghee. I make my own and use it for many purposes beside cooking. I am sure Banyan Botanicals Ghee is of a good quality as you are committed to a Ayurvedic Lifestyle. If I may suggest one thing to BB is your price. For the price per oz, it is expensive. Perhaps you can look into it.

My ghee looks more watery liquidy, rather than solid like wht you have on your spoon. why is that? Even in stores, I see the ghee in jars look liquidy. And, when there was a shortage of unsalted butter that I wanted, and the price ws very expensive I turned to ghee.
@banyanbotanicals
@banyanbotanicals Жыл бұрын
Due to the variety of fatty acids in ghee, ghee that cools more rapidly, becomes a more solid texture. Ghee that is cooled more slowly can retain a softer or even completely liquid texture. This can come down to the culturing process changing causing the ghee to have a different enzyme balance. Change can also occur from our production process (temp of the urn, facility temp, etc.) It's important to note that in the end, whether it's a solid or liquid state, the ghee is still equally beneficial.
