You got some really innovative features really set up for your environment perfectly.I love that you've got three pistols and obviously a shotgun on board haha. Just another day in south Louisiana. I will probably be using some of your ideas on my next build.like the cup holders the reinforcements everywhere the extra rivets and the use of that small space in the front for the battery. I really like the stern work you did. Covering the top at the rub rail is a great way to deflect any water that might want to ruin your day, from a runaway wave cracking over the stern. I'm going to try that but take it up to the bench with a hinge across the mid point and a lip to deflect any water that makes it that far. And the drawer, of course. Awesome job on your 15.4!

Great build. I had the same boat but I put a Yamaha 20hp on it. I could do 25 mph in it. I found it a bit tipsy with that motor, battery, and a 6 gallon tank all in the rear of the boat. I sold it and got a Santee 16 foot boat. It is perfect with that motor because the transom is a lot wider. I can get it up to around 28 mph with one person. I use it more than I use my Ranger!! It is the perfect set up for around Lafayette.

What kind of wood did you use to build your Battery base with? Did you just paint it or what did you seal it with? Getting ready to work on my Gheenoe this weekend and next. @shannonarabie63005 жыл бұрын
the tie down cleats I attached them with some fasteners to a stainless steel plate and then bonded them in place with the right stuff. The doublers for my seats I applied the right stuff then used some structural flush rivets and riveted the doublers in place then sealed the edges.

Did you use the “right stuff” to adhere the entire transfer plate under the seat? The only bolts I see are the 6 holding the interface plate down.
@shannonarabie63005 жыл бұрын
yes I applied the right stuff then bolted the plate on. It worked out well. I also removed the factory rivets where the seat hinges over and put some stainless steel bolts 10/32 with locking quality nuts. It beefed up the pivot point nicely.
