Commentary: The 3 realms are agni mandala, Surya mandala & chandra mandala (or ida, pingala & sushumna nadi) are present within our body aligned along the spine. The pillar is the sushumna nadi. kundalini sakti is depicted as a snake with its mouth at the bottom at muladhara and its tail at Sahasrara. The akshara 'om' is invoked at muladhara. It is the mantra of Siva & Sakti, our father & mother. Everything emerges from within single syllable 'om'. Sivavākkiyar says that there is no one to describe its glory fully. *Om Namassivaya* Namasivaya anjezhuthum, nalgu mel nilaigalum, Namasivaya anjil anjum puranamana maayayum, Namasivaya Anjezhuthu nammule irukkave, Namasivaya unmayai nangu urai sei naadhane The 5 letters - Namassivaya chanted daily will give you divine status, And those 5 letters exist as five (natural) elements, mythical allegories (of puranas) as well as allusions, And those 5 letters exist deep within us, Oh teacher, please teach us well this truth. *Om Namassivaya* Illai, illai, illai yendru neer iyambukindra yezhaikaal, Illai yendru nindra thondrai, illai yennalaagumo, Illai alla ondrum alla, irandum ondri nirpathai, Yellai kandu konda per, ini pirappathu illaye Oh poor ones, who say that God is not there, How can you say “it is not there'' about some thing which is there, You are saying, “Not there” about God which is within your soul (both soul and God are one), Of who realize this great truth, how many are no longer born ?! (There is no next birth to those who realize the God) *Om Namassivaya* gaara gaara gaara gaara kaavaluzhi kaavalan porapora porapora porilinra punniyan maara maara maara maara marangal ezhum eytha seer raama raama raama raama raama ennum naamame (Lord) of all the sounds (in the universe), he is the guardian for the guardians of eons (in the creation, sustenance and dissolution of the worlds from/within/by him), (You are) the blessed One who wages war against pride, karma, maya and mental defects, by killing them, who pierced the 7 trees with an arrow, the auspicious one! It is the name of Rama, Rama, Rama alone. Commentary: 'Kaara' is the suffix for a single unit of sound in Indian languages. Gāra when transposed becomes rāga. Rāga means desires. Raga dvesha - likes & dislikes are causal factors of karma, resulting in birth as a lifeform. This process is managed by God. The Lord stands as a watchful guardian & protects us from insignificant worldly desires and pursuits. Piercing 7 trees can be a reference to ‘Vāli vadam’ or decimation of Vāli. To prove to Sugriva, the monkey king that he can kill Vāli, Rama pierced 7 trees with a single arrow as a show of his might. This may also allude to the kundalini śakti piercing the 7 cakras and thus killing delusion & limitations in the nature of jiva. Sage Valmiki was a hunter before & was advised by Sage Narada to chant the word Rama. As Valmiki was ignorant at that time, he chanted as marā (which means Tree in Tamizh). Narada told Valmiki to repeat this word incessantly.
