I love it. Suggestions-- I'd put a material mesh like you did for the front of the optic over the barrel, and I'd zip tie the scope cover to the main cover so as to not accidentally lose it when crawling around.

Keep up the great video, and bring us more tutorial 🤩 I also not too comfort painting my gun, just want to keep it as shiny as possible 😆, I just wrap my gun with camo tape all this time and tightening it up with just some Rami, some camo mesh and artifial leaf. Been looking for ideas and this video gave me the best idea to start with. Good job with the ghillie wrap, have you tried it on when shooting the rifle? With it being close to the ejection port, my only concern would be if it causes failure to eject or any types of jams. If not, then that's great!

It's an airsoft replica, no ejection port to worry about, I'm sure that could be figured out though.

Great video and tips thanks! I'm building one for my custom M40A3 for the first time. I'm really interested in the moss, did it last long at all or fall apart quite quickly over time? I've been collecting the wrong kind apparently, mud moss, a guy saw me collecting it on the pavements near my house and instead of thinking I was absolutely mad he kindly pointed out where I can go to get some large chunks of the 'good stuff' as he put it lol; great lad, he explained the differences between tree moss and mud moss. I'm Irish (Dublin) too but live in Wales.

Moss will dry out and eventually crumble but it's easy enough to replace and you can't beat the natural stuff on a wrap

I think it might add unwanted sheen/reflectivness (new word) worth experimenting with though.

I don't hold it by the cover, my hands are on the weapon grips. It will get caught in thorns like most ghillie suits though, just can't avoid that unfortunately. Don't forget to subscribe 😉 Thanks for getting in touch

Possibly carry large style rubber bands with you that have been dirtied so you can use them to add local / native grasses and leaves to your camo build , maybe paint the barrel crown a flat green / brown so it isn’t a black hole ?

Awesome! I have a question, where did you bought the artificial leaves you used for this project? I struggle quite a bit to found some realistic looking leaves that arent shiny and plastic made. Just found them in local shops, but novritch has very good leaves now and @akastaten is making some nice ones aswell.

@@oldmansniper I'm sorry. For some silly reason I thought this was a tutorial for an AR Platform rifle not an airsoft one. My bad. IMHO this would most definitely not work on an AR 15 or similar rifle pattern. Sorry for the confusion.
