Rockstar sucks at making these. It all started with the arena war rank up system, the tuner rank up system was just a tad better and now we have the ‘career’ progress. I agree with all the things you said Ghillie. I’ve been playing since day one and they really treated the OG players this badly. A toddler could have come up with better challenges and rewards 😂

Rockstar design is full of conflicting mechanics and gameplay philosophy that interacts with each other in slapdash and thoughtless ways. Every "stealth" mission is a coin flip as to whether you can take out anyone without tripping alarms, or whether bodies you have no way of moving tip off hostile patrols. Cayo Perico stealth runs have been strangled by Rockstar constantly making undisclosed nerfs, including the fact that the shift change might happen across any random body and suddenly know exactly where you are instantaneously.

@SteveshiClayxui GTA stealth is just an unfinished, half cooked system. You have bodies that (might) trip the alarm, but no way to hide said bodies other than killing them in an optimal spot. You never know when even a sneaky takedown will trip the alarm, and sometimes stealth fails in the end anyway. I still enjoy stealth, feeling like a slick operative pulling off the flawless job so that no one ever saw me. But GTA makes that a rare feat, and not through actual reasonable difficulty either.

About the pistol challenge, I think it is also worth mentioning that the phone hits also have the same problem. One of the bonus objectives that you may get is having to run over the target however, if you hit them with your car and they ragdoll THEN die, you fail the bonus.

When this career progress thing was launched I took one quick look at it, saw the challenges vs. Rewards and saw that most of my progress wasn't even accounted for and I would have to do everything again, and I noped tf out of there in less than 30 seconds. Haven't opened that tab ever since and probably never will. My time and sanity are worth so much more and R* can stick it where the sun don't shine 😊

Yeah, what _really_ grinds my gears with the new Career Rewards system is the absolutely lackluster "rewards" for completing them. Each tier should have *_multiple_* rewards for each categories Tier Rewards such as path-related clothing like the Diamond Strike Vest (which I still regret missing out on), as well as the Tier 4 Rewards including massive payouts, non-timed discounts for websites, or even permanent buffs for heists like the Casino Heist or Cayo Perico where each tier completed earns you a permanent chance to possibly get Diamonds/Panther Statue for the respective Heists that gets higher with each Tier completed.

I agree with one thing you said, for completing everything with the bikers update should be a lost slimvan as our tier 4 reward. I myself just like a lot of players want the lost slimvan without trying to win it from the lucky wheel in the casino since it’s very hard to win it. At least put the Lost Slimvan on Southern San Andreas to purchase and it wouldn’t matter to me if it was priced anywhere over 1 million dollars. I can’t imagine what we could get for the Christmas update and what rewards in the career progress will be if they aren’t enticing enough to grind for.

A million is still too little for this, you could could do a cayo perico, which is way easier, and bam, theres your reward, a better reward would be a random chance to get diamonds (diamond casino rewards) or the panther statue (cayo perico rewards), that way not only can you always get the limited time stuff that is otherwise impossible to get, you get a reward that you wont just spend in a single day, a reward that keeps on giving, or maybe for the other there could be a take increase for the respective businesses, like mc businesses, the agency, etc

They don't want to make games. They don't want to work overtime. They want a 9-to-5 perk filled desk job and to brag about where they work on social media. Let me tell you one objective thing that will always be true: Any game designer who does not want to work overtime and thinks that working long hours is cruel and unusual punishment has no business in this industry. Period. They have had a huge hand in ruining it - it shows the difference in the entire mindset. All the best games, all the best designers they worked - and were PROUD to work - like 60+ hour weeks. They were PROUD to pull a week straight at the office to really make the best possible game. It was their passion. It went beyond a product. ..it's the passion the people dragging every AAA company down lack. It's why small indie studios that aren't forced to hire a ton of whining people straight out of college with an basic degree in computer graphics to keep up appearances are the only only studios still being truly creative and passionate. Nobody's making the guy who made Binding of Isaac or Barotrauma work 40 hour weeks with paid vacation. They've put in 100+ hour weeks because it's their passion. AAA studios have lost that.

Funniest thing of all….GTA modded car creators/collectors already have all of the vehicles like the cliffford Barrage and the LD organics van….so R* just incentivized people to do glitches to get them easier And players who did OTF genderswap have all the clothing unlocks as well (btw…..you have NO idea how old some of the clothing in the Career path thing are….some of them were in the game for over 3 years unreleased). These players also have all unreleased clothing and previous GTA+ exclusive clothing And, R* made the Lost Slamvan not the unlock for the MC missions was because they know that half of the community already has one from the ridiculously easy GCTF glitches from the past 4 years…..and that’s why they finally started fixing GCTF glitches regularly starting this update….just bc of this Career progress thing 😂

I took a look at some of these the first day they dropped, and pretty much immediately accepted that I don't have the patience to do the apartment heists challenges, nor the casino penthouse story missions challenge, ulp missions, project overthrow missions with a pistol, without having snacks (just to name a few). I agree and I have been playing GTA Online since 2013. I got so frustrated trying a few of the tier 4 contact mission challenges that I had to cut the game off and go to bed early or I was going to rage-destroy a controller. The take less than 50% damage challenge is BS because even if you use snacks to keep your health above 50%, if the total damage taken exceeds 50% of your health then you fail. My pistol challenge was voided on "Casino - Cashing Out" for entering the Menacer spawned as part of the mission that automatically puts passengers on the turret. Seriously WTFing hell. Not to mention the cut scenes that automatically switch your guns and spawn you in the missile of 20 hostile NPCs on "Casino - Strong Arm Tactics" then expecting you also protect Cheng and his translator. I can't even play the Low Rider missions because some of them require 4 players. So even if I have a friend willing to help I can't even start them without hoping randoms will join that will not void any challenge I am going for and the entire point of playing them. It's such shit. Original Hiests, Doomsday, Low Riders, and Casino are mission impossible. I didn't think it was possible to hate old content more but Rockstar managed to do it.

It's quite clear that the A-team is not working on GTA5 at the moment. Considering how many people play this game solo I don't think Rock* understand how difficult these challenges are and how low the incentive is to complete them. Less than 1% of all the people who have played GTA have completed the DDH. In nearly 6000 hours of online play I have only once seen a player with the T-shirt for completing all the OG heists on elite

With the Cayo Perico Winky, FUCKING EXACTLY! I have been DYING for a pv Vetir since before the update even dropped. Was so excited when I saw the truck with a livery in the teaser, and just knew I would drive that for years to come. But because it's a fucking PEGASUS VEHICLE, I haven't driven it in like two. A pv Vetir would have been amazing. If they can make a pv of the Speedo Custom, they can do this.

Whoever made these challenges needs to get fired immediately and to be blacklisted from making video games. The missions are bad enough it’s basically impossible to do it pistols only because in strong arm tactics yours going up against a buzzard with missiles and in hard mode they never miss + Tao Cheng is super weak, he dies before you can do anything. What I think they should do in the next update is replace pistols only with explosives only.

For that one challenge that requires you to visit the gun van for 10 days in a row, i’ve had it randomly reset so many times that i’ve just given up

On tier 3 of the gun enthusiasts challenges theres one challenge that has a chance of glitching an resetting your progress for it, basically you need to visit the gun van once a day for ten days and on day six of progression when you go to claim day seven it won't count that you visited the van and even restarting your game can't fix it and I experienced this glitch twice everytime I got to day six.

Exactly, the majority of the Tier 4 challenges aren't even worth the effort & rewards, even for me who likes to earn freebies as much as possible. The only unique Tier 4 reward that's anywhere reasonably completable for me is the Weapon Specialist for the PV Speedo Custom.

I will actively be cheating, glitching and exploiting my way through any challenge I can. I'm 12 T4 Challenges deep already. - Day 1 Player LITERALLY (1/10/13) - 15k+ hours spent in game - Literally done everything - Semi-Retired before this update dropped If you're on Ps5, competent, not clingy, available, knowledgeable, and actually gonna pull your weight, drop a message under here and we can get some stuff done. Preferably legacy players who've been around either Day one or during the Peak of GTAO (2016 Era).

I'm on xbox series x. I'm a solo player that can never find anyone to play with. Been playing for years rank 735 an have more money than I could ever spend legit. Heck I've never been able to complete one low rider mission because you need 4 people an they always mess it up an I get tired of trying to find people. I want to get the tier 4 stuff but most of it I won't get because you need other people

I'm a rank 900 who has been playing since day one, but one thing I've been doing for fun this last year is I have started another character where I do my best to complete missions without killing people, only incapacitating them as much as necessary to get the job done. I also don't sell drugs or commit any violent crimes. So all this deaf and failure that you're talking about in the missions, I'm used to it. It's still frustrating to see that rock star doesn't care about the game anymore. And it's quite concerning considering that we're all awaiting GTA 6, they expect us to believe that while they slack off with their biggest moneymaker, that the same thing won't happen with GTA 6? Anyway, love the upload, keep up the great work.

Something that annoys me, is I've already done all the tier 4 challenges for cayo. Even getting 50 million dollars. And I don't really get why Rockstar didn't check it off. It's not like they can't tell that I've done it. They have all the data to prove it.

This is why i started the Casino challenge then immediately stopped. The reward was worse than just completing the casino missions on normal with no hassle. They could’ve put that livery on the armored version of that car. But no, just no, this wasn’t thought out at all. I went through this pain on the Madrazo challenge after 4 attempts when i realized i couldn’t use a rifle in the police station cause it tanked accuracy. I did all that for a hoodie with a reticle on it 😒
