The Starling is indeed overal the best attack vehicle. I can do pretty much everthing. -Its small -It has the best turning -Unparaled acceleration -Spammable homing missles -It has machineguns (which obvioulsy arent as good as explosive cannons) but they are still good enough to take out other jets if the pilot has enough skill -It has a bomb bay -Countermeasures -It can glide at either stupidly slow speed, or instantly accelerate to max speed -It looks nice (has a lot of customazation) -Its uncommon (with the result that people dont know how to play against it) Now I like all of this, because the Starling is imo also the most difficult aircraft in the game to master. It requires a lot of practice in order to utilize all the good points mentioned above. The Starling rewards skill, which is not something you can say about the Hydra and the Lazer. Heck, I am not even that good with the Starling, I never took the time to master it. I fell in love with the Pyro and never really looked back. In my opinion this is how the game should be balanced. Its ok to have powerfull vehicles in the game, as long as set vehicle requires some skill on the part of the player who is using it. If I get divebombed by a Starling, I dont complain, I congrats the pilot who did it. Cause I know that guy knows what he is doing. But when I get divebombed by a Hydra/Lazer with the no-skill-multi-kill auto-cannon..........well, there is reason why I carry an explosive sniper with me 24/7

There was one time where I shot out someone's Buzzard, but they bailed before it exploded. My Starling's left wing clipped him, detached his parachute, and got me a satisfying kill when he hit the ground.

It's a more well rounded jet for sure. Much harder to snipe, and gets bonuses against homing missiles, is generally better at dogfighting. It's surprisingly similar to comparing the Savage and the Hunter. Savage is more destructive, but for fighting other helicopters, sniper durability - it's less well rounded. I will say I think a jet's boom-boom cannon is infinitely better than the bombs lol, but the other strong points of the Starling make up for that.

Because it's a more well-rounded jet, I bought it over the pyro when both were on sale. The starling I use mostly for pvp, while I use my hydra for pve or against armored ground vehicles like the khanjali.

Mystic Reign The starling is a jet though. The starling, and real-life version messerschmit 163 aka the komet have a rocket-powered engine, which is a special kind of jet engine and since it uses a jet engine to fly, it is a jet.

When smugglers run came out, I hated the starling. Slow over long distance because of the limited booster, the snappy sharp asf handling and not having a meme canon did that. After some air cargo missions and after owning a rogue and pyro I finally got used to that handling, but still owning a starling was on the bottom of my list, still didn't like the starling. Then I watched the my first video from ghilliemaster, where he dive bombs and drops single bombs from altittute on tryhards and I was like "damn looks like its some sort of sleeper". I like sleepers and underrated things. LUCKLY I wasn't planing on buying anything in gta, I had money AND the starling was on sale in that week. Not even 10 mins after modifying, I tried to drop a single bomb just like u ghillie and it hit him right in the face :D Many many many bomb kills, dogfight victories and ewoing tryhards later, its my favorite vehicle in gta. Aside from all the orbit canons, I only got shot down once from an explosive sniper and once by 2 tryhards in lazers in ghost org. Definitly worth the money in gta!

agree with everything its my main weapon against players with explo sniper, bcause if you come above him to divebomb, you have the upper hand against him. in lazers i fail so much with divebombing, since my stil changed from jet only long time ago to helicopter, especially the buzzard, but then the explo sniper was there -.- i wasted whole lobbies with one buzzard, but that was the old, better meta the starling is at least the best off meta plane, but i would love to see the realistic weapons, and they would exist: the explosive cannon from rogue, only centered on the nose, but i think that would be OP

starling is a great dogfighter but its learning curve is high for a dogfighter. The pyro or hydra is the better option for 99% of pilots.

A slow tank could not stand a chance against a well-placed missile spam. But for the faster vehicules like the insurgent, you would try to wair for it to stop before shooting. Or just spam and hope one day it will blow up

The starling is too good at being directly above the target all the time for that to work. The best options out of those would be the AA trailer while being pulled around by a fast vehicle like the Nightshark or Insurgent.

The Dominator I could guess that the Insurgent Pickup Custom or the Halftrack would be the starling's weakness. In order to bomb ground targets, the starling needs to be gliding which is slow enough for a machine gun or cannon to knock it out of the sky.

I have the best set up to counter everything in the game! I’ve been testing it for like hours now and here it is: 1- you need to call your avenger and fly it up close your yacht. 2- activate your auto pilot and go inside...then activate your yacht defense when you’re inside! And here you go, they even can’t kill you if they used orbital cannon! But there’s advantages and disadvantages on this set up Advantages: 1- The yacht defense system will block their shots. 2- They will be unable to use their weapons if they got to close to the yacht...and you can use your Avenger’s cannons to take them out! Disadvantages: 1- if you got 1 star or above...your yacht defense will be disabled...which will make you easy target for dive bomb jets. 2- if your Avenger get destroyed by orbital cannon...you’ll be in the beach...and if there’s a lot of butthurt TryHards there you’re a dead man xD 3- Some people can’t do it because it’s super expensive. And this is all I know about this set up...and if you want to make it little bit stronger...put a nightshark inside your Avenger...so when it get destroyed...you’ll be in the beach and the Nightshark will immediately spawns next to you...and if you know NightShark is heavy armored against homing missiles (aka oppressor and deluxe etc.) I’ve been doing this to TryHards they get mad very quickly xD And this set up is very useful to survive in Bad sport lobbies!

Shadow Hedgehog That’s a good idea...but there will be a problem, when there’s a crew of 5 TryHards attacking you and you got 1 Star they can now shot down your Avenger...and I don’t think you got enough time to go to the cockpit and go inside again unless you had destroyed all of their vehicles...that stromberg idea is very good, they will get pissed if I dive down xD About that chernobog can kill you in 1 shot, I haven’t seen anyone using chernobog it’s underrated...but I’m pretty sure yacht defense system will block his missiles...that what happened when someone tried to kill me using MOC Cap cannons xD, yacht defense is very good to stop their shots...even someone come with an Avenger...my yacht stopped his dropping bombs and his friend’s cannon shots! One thing to note about the Starling is that it does have a great weakness. It's weak against armored ground vehicles. Something like an Insurgent pickup with someone on he machine gun could get a few hits off the starling so it can start to smoke. Or maybe even the Half-Track.

Being that the Starling seems to be your favorite, and you are really good with it, I would love to have videos that go deeper into tips and tricks on how to best use it. I bought one recently based on your videos, and I'm getting good with it, but I want to be great.

For that last point, they probably think it's annoying ghosting in Lazers and passive popping. So many other tryhards get exposed and have to change their names, so they assume this gives them the a victory over you, when it's just a paid bragging right that can only be replicated when the fight is so evidently lopsided. Its Cherry I play in PC with a ps controller and always in free aim. So I can guarantee you that is so hard like on console.... when I play COD MWF3 with k&M my God is night and day....

Its Cherry GTA V Online on PC defaults to free aim when you first start out, much like consoles have aim assist enabled by default. Everyone is in free aim lobbies. I wouldn’t call M&K much easier. It does take a bit to get used to it. You can’t automatically be good at sniping people out of jets once you get your hands on a mouse.

APEXx call a motorcycle through the menu, it should make your aircraft leave if it’s a PV

Fun fact the Starling is based on the Me 163 a German Late WW2 rocket glider Building to intersect B17 and B29 Bomber Formations Unlike the in Game Version the Me 163's Landing gear Is just a cart the Breaks away just after takeoff and it lands on its belly. I love to fly the starling and i enjoy every flight. Indeed it is very hard to get used to it but its a lot of fun, when you did it. No i am not a pro with this plane (i am still far away being a pro with the starling), but i practice whenever i can. And i am proud to say, that i saw many many jet pilots bail out of their hydra or lazer or go passive or even die in their jet (it doesnt happen often because they are afraid to die). Oh and i had my first two kills on 2 random jet pilots that bailed out of their jets by dropping only one bomb on their head (and they where moving on top of that). As i said its hard get used to it and even harder to master, but it is possible with a lot of practice. Nice vid with useful tipps. Keep up the good work. I will keep up watching every vid.

I don't believe there is a best vehicle. There is a system if checks and balances in GTA online i have found solidly, while doing all my vs videos. No one vehicle is capable of becoming the best. Just we all have our favorite that we have practiced a lot in. I can counter any vehicle in gta online with grabbing the right choice to do the job.

The starling is the best at dogfighting paired only with the b11, however the starlings large fusal lodge makes it a large ex round target at low speeds. Also the pyro is much more effective against mk2. Each plain has there strength and weaknesses and the starling is primarily meant for other aircraft or for killing mediam skilled ground combatants

I don't like the starling for a few reasons. If im doing pvp dogfighting, the objective for me isn't to down the jet, its to kill the player. The lazer and hydra are more than maneuverable to evade missiles on their own without countermeasures, and the machine guns on the starling take a little time before they destroy the jet, so the enemy player has time to notice the damage and eject , get to the ground and survive. With the hydra and lazer, one hit from the explosive cannon blows the wing off and blows up the aircraft, killing the player instantly. It depends on what you count as a kill. For me at least, the starling isn't the right plane for me.

Weaponised Tampa is best weaponised vehicle because, 1) can be used in Heists, missions and The Doomsday heist. 2)has most powerful mini gun added to a car 3) looks cool, because its based of the Tampa 4)has Proximity mines and mortars 5)has 30 missiles 6)its not overly expensive 7)has cutacene when going inside MOC 8)Not classed as a tryhard vehicle!

I haven't battled randoms in public in months. The last thing I used was the Pyro and that was against a jet attacking my friends. I am tempted to get a Starling after watching these videos. I think I had one when it first came out but never used it so I sold it.

Great video bro. But see,the thing is that when someone has an explosive sniper and ur in a hydra tryna kill him,you are a much bigger target.But the explo sniper is insanely op against other aircraft,ESPECIALLY against helicopters

What Ghillie says is true, the starlling is my favorite vehicle, I have been using it in bad sport on Xbox and I've been able to dominate with it, only the orbital cannon can shoot me down when I'm in the startling. Yesterday, I fort a tryhard who kept switching to different planes to try to beat me in dogfight, the starlling was the only one I took longer than a minute to kill by a long way, and once you practice with the bombs and missiles a bit, they are just as worthy as the lazers cannons of death. Everyone who I've talked to about the starlling says they did have it but sold it because they couldn't use it, so the starlling actually requires skill to use, which is why tryhards will not even think of using it, if you go to freeaim, there are almost no tryhards, and this is because wince again they can't do things that need skill. Anyway, great video ghiellie, hopefully this will change some people to use the smugglers run planes.

when I'm in a Starling 22 people struggle to shoot it down. the turn radius combined with rocket booster just confuses people and wastes they're rockets

I use the Rouge for it's cannons against jets. But the cannons use the same shot model as the explosive sniper, so when it got nerfed so did the rouge. But it has bombs and non-spam missiles. All of this makes it quite the balanced anti-tryhard beast. Imo it's soo under rated. Plus its low price makes it good for a starter dogfighter.

It's a nice plane, really hard to control, but I can see that in the right hands (not mine) it's deadly. I've tried to use it but my problems are, like with other jets: how you can see the enemy on the ground? Like at 4:31 or 5:07, I can see nothing there, or it's just my eyes? Or do you just spam the rockets and maybe some of them will hit? Or is there a setting that can improve the distance where I can see the enemy from? My other problem with this thing is, how to land it in small places? It's just bouncing and bouncing and when it would stop and I'm holding the break trigger it starts the engine again and bounce more. Is there a trick for it, or just jump out and order a new one?

Depending on what situations I used to find myself in, my choice in planes (when I chose to use one over a heli) used to always depend on how many people I were fighting. If it was a 1v1 or (rarely) 1v2, I would usually choose the pyro, since it’s less of a chance I’ll be shot by cannons, and I can easily outrun/maneuver rockets without using flares. If I find myself in a 1v2 or maybe a 1v3, I would always take the starling, because of how damn hard it is to shoot it. You don’t know the meaning of thrill until you have 2 jets firing their cannons around you like confetti while you hunt them down. On a side note, while I was watching this video, I had an idea. What do you guys think of the idea of airburst bombs? They would act just like cluster (or maybe even incendiary), but they cover a larger area of ground. Since it would be meant for ground targets, it would be simple for rockstar to greatly reduce the damage they do to cars/trucks as a balance to the wider coverage

thank you this really helped me to become a better pilot, sadly i sold the starling for the hunter, which was a almost fair trade off, then i bought the akula, but is sold that under the convincing of my brother to buy the hydra. i have regreted that trade off ever since i sold the staling, also under the convincing of my brother. i am currently working on getting my beloved starling back. i also wish to get back my helicopters as well if only i could sell the hydra, the ultimate worst jet in the game

Totally agree, starling is the best all round vehicle, although I do love the Pyro. It can be good for ground attack because of how damn slow you can fly with it, but its not that great vs the explosive sniper.
