Yea, I understand. I literally gave up on PvP because of this issue, but also because of Wallbangs, Thermal Abuse, Oppressor Mk. 2 and Toreador Abuse, Godmode, Kosatka/Teleportation, and 1st Person Abuse. The 1st lobby I joined, I ran into a Godmode player who went by the name "GTACHARLIEMODZ" and they were getting vote kicked from the session, I checked to see why, and they were in Godmode… He killed me twice, and once I found out, I was furious asf! As a matter of fact, half of the session were in Godmode. So I just uninstalled the game after that… Bro, Vanilla GTA Online is ass and will forever be. I’m moving to FiveM… I can’t take anymore of this game!

It all started with explosive spamming. As someone who has been playing for the last 11 years now nearly, back in the day RNG was a big thing, so were the death matches in the PvP community, and people were respected for being able to take on multiple people with nothing but a rifle. Anyone remember how good Lui Calibre was back then? Explosives were used pretty liberally because back in those days of GTA V people thought explosive spammers were pussies and those people got zero respect. And it’s not like we didn’t use explosives and what not back then, we just didn’t spam it and use it as our primary source for kills. Eventually with the introduction of weaponized vehicles such as the oppressor, deluxo, and the atrocious use of the jets and their death cannon back then, ultimately explosive spamming, EWOing, and the such became the norm for not just tryhards, but all players alike. And I don’t blame people now, it’s really the only way you can fight nowadays because people don’t wanna risk potentially giving a kill to the person they’re fighting, it’s like people get an inferiority complex if they get killed. It’s like the current style of PvP in GTA is who can get the most amount of kills, without putting yourself at any risk of getting killed yourself. That’s why explosive spamming, ghost organization spam, RC spam, spawn camping with oppressors have been so common and have been the norm for PvP now. True GTA PvP has been dead for a very long time now.

thats also a significantly harder thing to fix since its to do with optimisation of the game. you change that and you get a game running at 3fps on the series S. its also way less prevelent and requires more skill than people abusing RC. at least you still have to hit a shot from far away, but I get what you mean

Meanwhile one of his recent videos he found players PvPing at the airport so showed up with 3 terrorbytes with on foot lockon missiles. Vehicles that are almost impossible to get killed in. Luckily some of those guys had RC vehicles to escape in.

Fair enough. I will agree that when you blow up an RC vehicle it should credit the kill. Interestingly though, a couple weeks ago I blew up an RC tank three times and it WAS crediting me with the kills. The first time I thought it was an anomaly as I have seen it happen before. But then the next 2 as well. Not sure what causes this but its a welcome surprise when it does.

have to stress the imani tech cars hard in this. they were designed around the old Lazer and Hydra, and the old MK2, so theyre armoured as balls, way more than the similar cars of the armoured schafters, ballers, and cognisentis that only take 3 explosives kills them. While the RC tank and Bandito are fairly slow meanwhile the imani tech cars are faster than any other pvp vehicles, some of them even getting HSW, so if you choose to run they can catch you, and if you choose to fight back they can escape (while dropping mines as they do so often) imani tech cars even outside of RC have a bunch of balancing problems but the RC element is an extra pinch of salt in the wound. For broader RC changes, id also like to suggest limiting the range like the freemode drone, or removing the ability for RC vehicles to harm players like is the case in 1v1 deathmatches. should the explosion from the bandito or the lasers from the tank really have any effect on players or just NPCs? maybe the latter would be good, wouldnt do anything against being run over though, which is the main way imani tech players currently operate in RC...

Honestly that's one of the few reasons I tend to stick with using my Deluxo for most vehicular engagements. If the Imani car has RC they can't explode me while I'm high in the air, and I can just spam missiles at them with impunity. They do take a lot of beating but thankfully not Nightshark durable. I myself use RC Imani vehicles quite a lot, especially when I need to sneak out of a bad situation or am just goofing around. Picking up my buddies or strangers in a lobby and pretending to be a Waymo is pretty amusing. I do agree that RC Imani Tech cars are quite iffy in a balancing perspective. You basically get a very tanky and large Bandito on steroids. Not to mention some cars even has the option to mount machineguns that you can still use in RC mode, so you don't even have to sacrifice the vehicle itself to get kills. At least they're not as spammable as the Bandito/Tank considering insurance and personal vehicle cooldowns apply

Just learn to circumvent better. Bait them out however you can, and switch tactics. Send them a little message to rile them up, and leave yourself open to an attack other than the RC car. Once they come out, pop 'em with something they don't expect. Once you get them with that surprise kill, they'll immediately go back into the RC car. That's when you send them another message. The other issue with RC personal vehicles is you get badsport points on top of not getting the kill, wasting ammo and getting charged for the insurance. You are punished for defending yourself against them while the attacker wins in everyway.

Another option could be have the player not disappear when using RC vehicles, just like the drone the player is still killable but their location isn't on the map. That way they actually have to strategize where to deploy the RC vehicle.

With the throwing from rc car glitch, I hate it when players do that to me, I hate it so much that I started counting their kills as my kills! A few things need to be done: 1, put a cooldown in 2, count the rc kills as normal kills 3, fix the glitch where they can throw sticky bombs from it!

Rewarding people with a kill by destroying the rc vehicle would disable the ability to dodge the orbital cannon. People can just orb your rc and get a kill for it, so i would reconsider that

That's why I don't put C4 on my RC Bandito, and the Flamethrower on my RC Tank. If I'm in either, I'm not going to try to kill you back. I just don't want you to see me until you get bored, and go grief elsewhere. They aren't annoying if you don't intend to fight with them. The RC Bandito and Tank have more armor than the Bombushka 😆 Since you can throw stick bombs from it means they’re in the vehicle, which means should count as a kill. At least the Nano Drones (personal, Terrorbyte, and in the arcade) are all slow, have a 5 min C/D, and can be easily destroyed.

Thats why freemode PvP is not recomended, play gamemodes like death match to have more strict rule sets. I do agree that the cooldown are on the shorter side on the RC tank and the laser gun upgrade is scary because it can oneshot with headshots what makes easy to spawntrap a player if the player cant find vehicle fast enough.

The consistent option to drop Bullshark till this day still bothers me, I feel it ruined the PVP aspect of the game for me. It’s repetitive and is almost needed if PVP is your thing, ghost made some sense but off radar was fine. The PVP vehicles have always needed a nerf, It’s that or they need to make it easier for players to get the ammo to stop them. The RC vehicles should changed to were if a player uses one, their character still remains visible on the map. I really hope they keep the realism with GTA 6!

KZbinrs were complaining about the orb cannon a while back and Rockstar responded by making you have to wait 48 minutes if you missed your shot (or blew up an Rc vehicle). It was the perfect remedy to rc spammers and godmoders until it got nerfed.

Killing an RC should count as a kill on the player and their should be a limited distance it can be used like the nano drone, and probably keep their icon on the map.

heres what i want: going off radar removes player blips on your radar player blip flashes if they are about to leave passive mode bst drop notifications and cooldowns heist warp has a countdown timer self exploding with rocket or sticky ragdolls you to the ground for a few seconds with just 1hp before dying ghost org only available during sales rc car/tank 5 minute cooldowns and kills player if destroyed

The Rc Bandito should only have a 5 min. Cooldown when you have the Remote Bomb Upgrade on it.

This game could be in a much better state if we got more than like two features/vehicles rebalanced per update (ignoring the fact that most vehicle rebalances by Rockstar completely suck, like the Bombushka buff for example). I really don't believe it's that hard to introduce new cooldowns or change a couple of variables in the code.

The thing is that the biggest problem is just all the tools available to everyone far too easily. The game just has too much and that causes chaos. All those weaponized/armored vehicles to use in a lobby should have never been able to be privetely owned or be called in from pegasus (when it works at least), but instead it should have been like a business battle kind of system.

rebalanced; universal cool down on RC vehicles 5 minutes like the nano, you cannot negate cooldowns by being in another one (basically its disabled), once you die, all rcs are on cooldown EMP can insta kill rc vehicles, it should take 1 rocket for the rc bandio and couple rockets on the tank and personal rc vehicle it will only show up once you spot it but when its out of site, then its off radar (basically show up on site (your third person cam doesnt count, it has to be players eyes (first person mode)))

Ghost org, off radar to out of sight spam is still way worse. Rc vehicles only get you on the ground mostly.

Suiciders, rail gun whores, and homing missile spammers are much more annoying. I rarely get killed by a random RC vehicle. It's usually some noob with explosive sniper ammo taking potshots across the map at random aircraft or a Deluxo, Akula, MKII, Vigilante, etc just firing at whatever they can lock onto.

Since The Contract DLC, I’ve (on occasion) trolled people who deserved it with the Imani Tech RC Unit. I think it’s funny to an extent, but I’ve always tried not to be abusive with it. By that, I mean I don’t actively go out to hunt those who are harmless.

It’s funny because people wonder why players like myself and my crew utilize glitches, and it’s for this exact reason because the lobbies are so toxic and people abuse all regular features anyway playing like absolute pitches, so now when I go off the radar, no cops God mode with my God mode vehicle. It’s the most amazing thing running into players like this, because I just troll them with my car and just ram them down alleyways and leave them stuck and then when they finally wanna come out, they get ultra troll until they leave

Man, the biggest issue with PVP in GTA is the fact that you can call out a Tank when mad or anything else these obnoxious devs can think up. I can't have gun fights or stab someone with a knife and think that person will do the same like i can with friends in private lobbies. The problem with PVP on GTA is people have forgotten how to PVP and have fun doing it. Especially the devs.

I agree with all of this. I've been dying more lately to sneak attacks and then them just hiding in rcs using ghost/off radar or job teleporting it horrendous. I'll only join a public session expecting to have a dirty tryhard in the session already ghost trying to kill me thats the only way to prevent from getting killed.

Honestly I think the best fix to the problem would be to increase the cool down and make the RC car and tank like the nano-drone where your player stands still and controls the RC vehicle in a limited radius.

There are much bigger pvp concerns and yet you decide to attack rc spam when it's easily counterable. I would much rather be fighting against an RC spammer than fighting someone who wallbangs with thermal and ewo after you hit them once with the heavy sniper just because they are really this down bad about the score. The thermal helmet nerds are much much worser 🤷🏻‍♀️

One thing I would be in favor of after being griefed by two clowns using rc’s recently, is PM should being on an extended cool down after using them. You shouldn’t be able to jump right from using these to passive. Hopefully that would dissuade some of these idiots.

i own both the bandito and the rc tonk, and i RARELY use them most of the time. the only time i use them is when i want to flee from a situation i dont want to be in. plus, PVP in the RCs is just boring, at least for me. the ones that do spam this, however, are really annoying. i can deal with MK2 spam or orb spam, but i cant be bothered to deal with RC spam. it gets old, really fast. i think i speak for all when i say that these changes are highly needed to better balance the game.

If you play on PS4/5, this is even worse because you have RC sticky bomb glitch users. They can basically throw sticky bombs out of their RC Bandito
