The Southern most point of the Florida peninsula before entering the Florida Keys has nearly a 60 mile stretch that is now either all dead or dying. Yep, long before the floods take the land, the trees, grasses, shrubs and everything else will die from salt water intrusion first.

@Donaldo Thomoson the truth is that there are so many unknowns in climate change. We don't really know what things will be like in 10 years much less 20. It's highly doubtful we will get 8ft sea level rise in 10 years but things can get much worse very quickly with climate change

while camping with a friend more then twenty years ago in Central California sitting on the beach watching the sunset , the beach had about 100 yards of dry sand that had not seen the high water mark in a long time , the ocean sounded really angry , i told my friend that maybe we should head back to camp , we walked down a path that was below sea level , not much later the ocean flooded the whole area , the ocean just came in and reclaimed the campground , we ended up on top of the park tables , this is now a wetland with a wooden path to observe the beauty . it was a shock but it turned out alright for this one place , so many years ago i had been trying to tell people about this , i think people just didn't care to hear it back then , but now its becoming a reality everywhere .

In the last twenty years I’ve worked in Montana, Washington, California, Arizona and Colorado. Whole forests have died or burned in each of these areas. Colorado was the most striking, with the whole headwaters of the Colorado River turning red and dying, something like 90%. Our current property is twelve acres of mostly dead ponderosa pines. The extent and speed of forest die off in the West is striking.

So in summary, climate change is causing huge problems, but we're okay as long as we have "solutions"? What?! The only "solution" seems to be finding a place to replant lost forests but that requires land that isn't already developed with roads, houses, and cities. What a bizarre take.

What huge problems are climate change causing? Between tectonic plate movement and a battering of the coast by the weather, do you really expect nothing to change? The coast is constantly changing. 99% of all animal species on the planet have gone extinct before the arrival of man. The extra Co2 in the atmosphere is making the earth greener. Food production is the highest in world history thanks to fossil fuels. Life expectancy is the highest in world history. Death from natural disasters is at the lowest in world history. Shocking worldwide poverty is at the lowest in world history. All this is about to change due to the false fear of Co2. But that's what the elite want. They want to reduce the world's population but are unwilling to sacrifice themselves first. Funny how that works.

As sea levels rise, the coastal marshes will become submerged and become part of the sea. Right now, we are dealing with centimeters and inches. In 50 years, it will be feet of sea level rise. In 100 to 200 years, it will be meters. 2000 years ago, Alexandria, Egypt, was a port. Today, it is still a port. There has been negligible sea level rise in 2000 years. That is over. In 100 years, Miami, New Orleans, Shanghai, Calcutta, and other low lying coastal cities will have to be abandoned. What will be the costs? Moving cities & people will take money, patience, and tolerance. In the US, we are lucky. US citizens can move anywhere in the country to resettle and start over. However, in Asia, people are separated by boundaries and passions. Will the Muslims of Bangladesh be allowed to move to India? Or Myanmar? Doubtful. As Bangladesh is devoured by the sea, millions will die. In human terms, it is a slow acting tragedy. In geological terms, it is almost instantaneous. We are entering a new climate/geologic age.

What does it mean to enter a new climate age?? A climate age is an age where a climate is stable over hundreds of thousands, or even millions of years. However, the time marking the end of one, and the beginning of another, is very short. Geologically, in the rock record, a climate change seems almost instantaneous. The Pliocene lasted from 5.3 mya to 2.6 mya. Oceans were 70 feet deeper than today, while CO2 was 390ppm. Today, CO2 is 420ppm, and rising at 3ppm/yr. When will the new climate age stabilize into the coming Anthropocene?? How long will it take?? What will the world climate be like when it stabilizes? We do not know the answers to these questions.

It's insects too. Over a decade ago, huge swaths of ash trees began to die from the emerals ash borer. I now see signs of the beginning of the end for our white pines, from a virus. The needles begin to turn light green, then yellow. I was in the northern part of Michigan camping last year, but I was full of dread, seeing the signs of dead or dying trees all around me.

How should we act? Ancient cultures sacrificed humans to please the weather Gods and modern cultures burned women as witches for cooking the weather. Co2 levels were low during this time of scary weather, so it wasn't Co2 related. Maybe we should try human sacrifice again. They probably did it wrong. Or maybe the climate has always been catastrophic and we should learn to live with it? No. Let's spend money we don't have on something we can't control.

In the AR6 report on climate, the IPCC scientists on the U.N. payroll show that the average increase in sea levels is about 2mm...or the thickness of a dime. There is no rise in sea levels, there are only eroding coastlines and sinking overdevelopment...built where it never should have been built. Look at the elites...buying up private islands in the Caribbean like there's no tomorrow...you don't see them sand bagging do you? You don't see Obama sand bagging at his ocean front mansion do you? You don't see them giving up their private jets and yachts in order to teleconference , do you ? OK then...there is no climate emergency.

The generation of electric power can be improved using old generator technology. Tesla bound Edison's generator with magnets all around the armature and used water to move the armature magnets and coils of copper wire. We could use the field magnets to move the armature magnets and coils of copper wire instead of using steam frome nuclear power plants or wind and fossil fuels steam. The power plants are not much different than hydroelectric power plants or wind power plants except for the lack of water or wind to move the armature magnets and coils of copper wire. We add inverters and transformers to deliver high voltage AC power to the power lines and contrary to wind power this is continuous peak power without fuel or pollution.
