(There are several teensy-tiny things we didn't mention here on purpose and some additional notes like merm heads also leading to nightmare fuel, ashes disappearing, birchnut trees leading to poison birchnuts, etc.. What you see are the BIG ones though!) It's been 4 years since we last talked about all this, everyone, and there is a surprising amount of original hauntings that simply don't exist anymore! Plus, I went testing a bunch of new ones to see what would happen with certain, freshly introduced content and found nothing exciting there either! So in all honesty, this is a video asking for MORE from Klei in this sense! Give us MORE haunting mechanics! I also went unscripted this time around to help soothe my throat (been sick for several days now...) so forgive any mistakes and ramblings.

Would you delay that it's feasible to have a ghost on your attacking party when fighting a boss? The first thing that comes to my mind is having someone able to set off ice staffs, who can't be attacked

5:01 from watching this video I can say that a mod that allows dead survivors to be controlled by a Wendy would be a great way to reduce the boredom of said deceased survivors

One thing I like to do when playing with my kids is intentionally die early and locate the Lunar Island and Pearl! 👻

This is off topic but, it would be so cool if they added like an actual home that you could build and go inside of. Like I’ve always wondered what the inside of a pig house would look like! On top of that when you build the home it could have like a huge range to it that when you plop the home down that x area becomes an actual base. Then you could upgrade it to increase the size which would be a must if you have a lot of people on your server. Also if you go inside the home they could add like a game changing mechanic that would incentivize you to stay inside during the night time or something!

hey Beard, I’mm unable to test it, as I can’t access the reanimated skeleton or the mad science Hallowed Night crafts, but I want to test something. If you use the lunar experiment on the glight flowers created by the skeleton, will they remain? It might be a way to get light bulbs on the surface, if it transforms and doesn’t disappear, like the flowers would normally.

I can tell you exactly why You'd ever wanna use ligitimatly bee mines outside of crabking, the bees that come from the mine are all *homeless bees* you plant 6 butterflys into flowers near a bee box and set off a bee mine and you will have a giant field of flowers in a few days as homeless bees plant flowers after visiting 6

Sure, but homeless bees are a thing the moment you catch them so this is an extra step that isn't needed.

Not that I know of! Haunting things like panflutes and such USED to have a chance to lower uses but it seems like Klei sneakily changed some stuff about haunting. Probably in an effort to prevent griefing. In fact, we can't even mess with boating stuff as a ghost anymore!

anyone know if haunting can make a poison birchnut in winter? that'd be a reliable way to get birch nuts during all other seasons regardless (if you can call a 1% chance reliable).

Did they remove haunting setting stuff on fire randomly, i definitely burned down a few forests in the early days of DST after dying to a frog because of lag with myself playing solo...

They removed and tweaked a ton of original haunting stuff, yeah. For example, no messing with boat stuff anymore. Like, at all.

I tried haunting a scaled furnace blueprint and wasn't able to change it. Any clue why?

Boss blueprints are different than regular blueprints only the regular blueprints can be changed into non boss items
