The Cherry Blossom Festival is a thing in DC! The 2024 National Cherry Blossom Festival is 20 March - 14 April. The trees along the Tidal Basin were donated to Washington DC from Japan in 1912. I walk past these everyday. There also were dogwood trees donated to Japan in return.
