Neon Unicorn It is. Latin is the basis of all Romantic languages, like Spanish, Italian, and French. So if you pick up parts of Spanish or Italian ("Il Padre") that's because those languages are based on Latin.

I studies Latin for 2 years; some parts are in Latin, but there are words that are not. For example: il, lo, padre (Latin for father is Pater, -is m.).
