It’s that every ghost song overall is like muted in the sense it can be more upbeat and noisy but instead it sounds like a punk band that went from punk played out of a garage and put into a record studio and the record label tells them to sound like everyone else making the raw spirit of punk turn into a song for office workers. That kinda mute overall sound. Don’t get me wrong I love Ghost so much but if they where not so dull on sound and more loud and upbeat they would be killing it for the masses and all would worship our unholy pope.

Just yesterday I introduced one of my Gen Z friends to the Pet Shop Boys, and when 'It's a Sin' played he was surprised that this is by them because he actually thought it was originally by Ghost, so he played this version for me. We liked both of them. And went on even further by imagining how this song would sound if entirely played at a huge dome on the pipe organ with the same energy like Ghost's cover and with a heavenly choir singing the chorus and the bridges, and wow I'am getting goosebumps right now 😇

I'm a fan of the Pet Shop boys and also a fan of rock and metal. For this reason I always imagined and was sure that this song would be perfect as a cover by a metal band. However, I imagined the cover by one of the many metal bands with female vocals, like After Forever, Epica and the like. However, despite Ghost not having female vocals, this version was excellent and very worthy of the original. The day I imagined has arrived.
