Luego de escucharla varias veces diré algunas cuestiones a mi entender: Claramente Anette no es una cantante lírica, sino netamente pop y eso se nota en varias cosas, empezando por los sonidos abiertos en todo el registro (por eso sufre en el agudo y no puede colocarlo correctamente, salvo que haga un sonido muy liviano de cabeza), varias notas nasales y esas apoyaturas en las notas largas, que comienzan en la nota justa, se apoya en una más baja y vuelve a subir. Con respecto al vibrato, no me desagrada. De hecho (ahora se me vienen los "viudos de Tarja") me molestaba ese vibrato grande y pesado casi empujado de la Turunen que tenía el último tiempo. Es más, si escuchan las primeras grabaciones de Tarja canta con una voz MUCHÍSIMO más liviana que la que luego desarrolló. Entiendo todas las variaciones de la melodía que hace dadas sus limitaciones vocales, pero en varios momentos casi parece otra canción. Lo que sí me gustó mucho es la variación que hace al final (donde Tarja generalmente se iba y luego Floor queda colgada espectacularmente). Eso me pareció muy interesante. Una cosa para los haters de Anette: si había tantos problemas con las canciones y demás, porqué Tuomas y el resto la mantuvieron tantos años y grabaron 2 discos (Dark Passion Play e Imaginaerum), siendo los dos más vendidos que toda la discografía de Tarja? Claramente prefiero a Jansen en algunas cosas y Turunen en otras, pero el legado Olzon es innegable. Y por cierto, en The Dark Element se nota su crecimiento como cantante, es muy interesante su trabajo.

Me encanta tu aportación. A mi Anette me gustó mucho, Imaginaerum es mi diso favorito, aunque me llevé un gran disgusto con la salida de Tarja, me sorprendió mucho Anette llegándome a gustar plenamente en el segundo disco, me parece que no siendo una cantante lírca, y por supuesto no pudiendo alcanzar a la gran Tarja me parece una gran cantante, pero no para cantar las canciones de tarja. Solo discrepo contigo en una cosa, para mi gusto no es una cantante popera, tiene una voz muy aguda para cantar metal ,a mi me encanta,no tienen que ser líricas o para cantar metal, en eso creo qud hay mucha gente equivicada. . Y en cuanto a Floor, tengo que decir que tiene una voz bonita y muy potente pero hay algo en ella q no me gusta, no se que es, no me transmite nada y grita mucho,algo que no ne gusta nada. Por desgracia, siend fan desde casi el principio, he dejado de escuchar a Nightwish, no puedo con Floor, Ghost Love la ejecuta a la perfección pero sigue sin gustarme, le falta algo, lo he intentado oírla una y otra vez para ver si me entra pero al final he desistido.

Muy buen análisis. Aunque yo también tengo mi preferencia por Tarja y Floor, en el caso de Tarja por el gran aporte que hace al metal incorporando la voz lírica, y Floor por ser tan versátil, también valoro el trabajo de Anette, y es que cada una de las tres cantantes ha hecho su propia contribución a Nightwish con un estilo único. Y, aunque esta canción me cuesta un poco escucharla en la voz de Anette, creo que igual bajando un poco la tonalidad de la canción podría haber mantenido mejor los agudos, y podría haberlo llevado más a su terreno pop/rock.

I love all the singers and that they’re all different. I’m not sure about your numbers at this point but that doesn’t matter. She earned her spot and her albums are very popular even today. The only thing that bothered me sometimes is the way she’ll add a note instead of just singing all the way through. But it’s not a deal breaker any more than Tarja’s accent is.

I have never regarded Anette as a pop singer, more a rock singer, I've always thought she did a good job here, nice vibrato and the early part of the song is very sweet, I've always thought in this instance it would be like asking Sarah Brightman to sing Another one bites the dust, great singer, wrong song. It's an entirely different song, I like it, I think she's actually a much better vocalist at this stage in her career, ♥️Anette.

After listening to Floor's version this is very difficult to assimilate. However, big respect for Annette, she was very good in both albums she did with Nightwish !!

@Josh F why should anyone give her any credit? yeah her studio versions are listenablebut hervocal range is tiny and she just cant sing songs that Tarja could...so go from Tarja to Anette....I didntlisten to the band many years after that cause Live performances were just horrible they also changed their music style more radio-like for Anette, I just dont find her to be in the level that other singers have been, its more of a critique of band leader that why he even let Anette join the band...I guess they were thinking that they do something complitely different but it was a bad choie , there must have been soo many better singers than Anette , Anette is just soo average for a band like Nightwish ...

With all respect, this is a hard song to sing reaching those high notes can take all ur breath away. She still sang it perfect. I say every singer is good in their own way and their voices are unique in different ways. Annette for me is very special and she sings every nightwish song perfect in her own way.

Para todos aquellos que cuando cantamos los clásicos operísticos de Nightwish y por la poderosa voz de Tarja o Floor no llegamos ni en sueños a los agudos, esta mi bella y talentosa Anette!!!! Amo esta versión y su estilo. En esta si llego a los agudos sin ahogarme. No estoy siendo ofensivo con Anette, siempre he reconocido la buena que es en vivo. Con sus limitaciones, claro está, pero es una gran CANTANTE!

Esta canción no se ajusta a su estilo de voz pero en lo personal pienso que los dos discos que saco junto a nightwish fueron buenos,en especial Imagenaerum que es un magnifico trabajo... Las tres vocalistas han aportado lo suyo a la banda. Simplemente se debe aprender a disfrutar la música.

Anette is a nice singer and of course, Amaranth was more adecuate for her voice than any of the songs Tarja used to sing... but Floor's is a whole other level of singing.

No she can't. First of all this is a horrible recording. Trying to judge anything from this recording is a waste of time. Then, the end of the song is very different and does not require any where near what Floor does with it. Also, the "high" notes she does try are a failure. She does perform better on studio recordings, under controlled conditions. Her live performances were always weak, the sound of her voice was not in question, it was her ability on a long concert.

El hilo de Anette llevó adelante Floor para poder darle personalidad a su versión. La versión de Floor tiene una mezcla entre la versión de Tarja y la versión de Anette. Utilizo ambos recursos lo cual hacen que sea una versión muy completa. Aunque debo admitir que la versión de Tarja no tiene comparación.

es una buena cantante, con ella Nightwish se dio a conocer a nivel mundial, la última cantante es más versatil, ya sus interpretaciones como Dark Element son muy buenas a mi parecer. Ya Tarja fue el pasado y el origen de este grupo, esperemos más canciones épicas.

Oh wow it’s 2021 and there’s still edgy goths with overbites trying to bring a female artist down because they don’t prefer her vocal style. For those who respect her hustle, check out The Dark Element and her most recent collabs with Magnus Karlsson. I’m glad she’s above the hate people have had towards her and still does music for her fans despite being a full time medical worker.

la mejor version es la de tarja la version de floor es buena pero tarja te transporta y te hacia sentir la cancion en caso de anette es muy interesante ya que ella no utiliza la voz de cabeza demasiado es mas voz de pecho por eso puede jugar mas con las notas en cambio tarja y floor al ser voces mas liricas al emplear el bel canto utilizando voz de cabeza no tienen esa oportunidad de jugar con la voz como anette, pero sin duda es muy buena version, pero la mejor es de tarja su color de voz es mas carnoso que el de jansen y tiene un poco de mas potencia que la de floor a pesar que son el mismo tipo de voz soprano pero no el mismo tipo de subclasificacion

My only criticism of her version is the beginning. She sings very low. But everything else she sends well and does it competently, her light timbre combines a lot with the theme of the song. And I love the ending she created, it has a more romantic tone which is what the song calls for, rather than an epic scream that Floor does.
